Little pigeon, why must you stay in this gray city?
Due to your tears, you're ashamed to receive pity
Within the smoggy atmosphere, you mourn for your loss
You blame yourself, saying you were the causeI may not know the pain of feathers being plucked off
The inevitable: the death of a flock member's love
But I recognize the paralyzed wings you display
And that you may be unwilling to soar to a bright dayLittle pigeon, your bleeding heart, may I see?
Remove all the toxins and replace them with glee
I wish to amputate your wings and give you mine
I'll even trade places with you on this electrical lineRefuge from the gloomy storm is what you seek
Stories of your blissful memories escape your beak
This I whisper to you on this nauseating height;
When you're ready, I hope you'll join me in flight***
A/N: Losing a loved one, is never an easy endeavor. There are times when you'd feel like you're no longer worthy to show your smile to others. It seems as if you're trying to balance yourself on a thin wire, wishing you were to fall instead. But please keep this in mind, even if that line will snap, there will always be people around you who'll fly to you and catch you.
