This is something I feel strongly about. I am so surprised that this hasn't been banned, it is animal abuse, it is wrong, cruel, and must be prevented. What I'm talking about is caged hens. Basically, the owner of the caged hens stuffs as many chooks as he or she can into a tiny cage and they live there their whole lives, they do this to save space and in my opinion, it is disgusting. To help stop this unfair and selfish mistreatment of innocents hens, there are two things you can do.
1. Don't buy caged eggs. If you buy your eggs, the best way to help is to buy barn or free range eggs, caged eggs are cheaper but if the factory farmers don't sell enough the farm will shut down and the chicken abuse will stop. Plus, free range eggs are tastier and healthier and the chooks that lay them are happier.
2. Spread the word. Tell everyone you know about, post it on social media, do anything you can to spread the word about this very important issue.
Do these things and help chooks have a long and happy life.
