Today I can finally do it all by myself. I already have my own apartment. All I needed was for this day to come, and now that it's here my life can begin. I sit row and rows away. My heart starts to become as uneasy as my stomach has been thus entire day. My row finally gets called, and I hear the cheers and roars of the crowd. My feet lead me to the stairs, as I walk up them. The wooden planks seem wobbly, but I still manage to make myself climb them. I hear my name being called, and I walk with a smile on my face. I shake the Mayor's hand, as he hands me my diploma.

I smile, as the flash from the camera blinds me. I clutch the diploma in my hands, and walk off of the stage.

"We finally did it." I say.

"And I couldn't have done it withoutyou by my side." He says.

"What did I do to deserve a man like you, Grayson Dolan?" I ask.

"I think the real question is why didn't you do it earlier?" He says.

"You're so cocky. You know that?" I ask.

"But you love me." He says.

"Indeed, I do."

-2 Years Later-

"Why do you do shit like this?" He screams.

"I need the fucking money, and I don't see you providing to my funds." I yell back.

"What the fuck ever. You know what? You're right where you belong, cause that's all you'll ever be good for. Sliding up and down a pole." He says.

He grabs his bags, and leaves. He shuts the door, and a tear slides down my face. Knowing that he actually thinks that lowly of me is heartbreaking, but I would die before the day I let him see me cry.

He's gone, and now all I'vegot is these broken clocks.
