"aww it's okay, jim." i told my friend, jeongguk, about what happened.
he is my only friend now, i suppose. he's the only person i have the courage to actually tell my problems.
"everyone has their days." jeongguk said as he gave me a cheeky smile, showing off his infamous bunny smile that everyone found really breathtaking.
"did you just-"
"hUSH MY BABY SIZED TARANTULA YOUR FRIEND JEON JEONGGUK IS HERE TO HEAL YOUR WOUNDS."
i laughed at his sudden outburst and cocked him an eyebrow.
"how the fuck when you're literally in a screen?"
jeongguk was scouted because of his dancing, now he's in daegu, walking slowly to his dreams of becoming an idol. we both met in dance club back in high school and we were inseparable ever since.
"shush my ungrateful child, just because i'm far away doesn't mean i would stop being your best friend." he tilted his head and gave me another cheeky smile. "are you going to continue dancing? there's always a spot for you here since the one who trains us really likes your moves."
"uhm.. hello? do i look like someone who would become an idol? i mean look at me. i'm fat and i look like i've been smoking weeds nonstop because of my eyebags. plus, i got to continue my studies so i can be a vet. "
"oh my god, jim, why are you so negative about yourself?"
i just shrugged as a reply, knowing he would dodge the idea of me being a veterinarian.
but thinking about it, it's not a really bad idea. after all, being a vet was my father's choice not mine.
"you can always call me if you made a decision, though. i know it's tough since you literally said you'd stop dancing but it won't hurt to try again."
i just nodded as a reply, reassuring him that i will do my best to think of an answer to this endless questions inside my head.
becoming an idol. well, it's worth a shot.
