Who ARE you.....(a Keeper of the Lost Cities Fanfic)

To the House...or House's?

  "You're finally here!" Said Biana, she opened the gates to Everglen. Sophie smiled at her, as always Biana looked immaculate

"I know,sorry," Sophie answered, "Were everyone else?"

"I'll show you come on!" Biana pulled her up the hill and there was Lyn, Fitz, Tam, and Keefe.

"Yo! Foster, you sure took your sweet time getting here."

"Sorry." Sophie said as she walked to join them I meet some people and-" she was cut off by Fitz,

"Who?"

"Umm..." Sophie said "Just..."

"Sophie you know you can tell us." Lyn Said.
"Fine," said Sophie she opened her mouth to spill but a hand was put over it and she was shoved to the ground

"Ow!"

"About to rat us out, hum?" Ask a voice.

Then chaos broke out Keefe and Biana screamed, Fitz paled, Tam tried to cover himself and Lyn with shadows but to no result.

"Help" Sophie screamed then "Stop!" And everything was quiet. "Get off of me!"

"Fine," the voice said the air shimmered and Jussin appeared

"Where's sister Janae?" Sophie asked. "I'm here". Janae's voice said, "But you promised, and now I don't know if I can trust you-."

"Sorry to interrupt you creepy invisible person, but who is that," Keefe ask as he pointed at Jussin.

"That's Jussin," Sophie said. Keefe glared at him.

"So you think you can just go around tackling peo-ahhh" there was a thunk as Keefe hit the ground.

"Sorry to interrupt you, annoying talkative boy," Janae's voice said in a perfect impression of Keefe .

"But don't talk to my brother like that." Janae appeared one of her black high heeled boots on top of Keefe back. She pushed down harder. "Got it?"

"Yeah," Keefe said to the ground.

"Good," Janae said letting Keefe up, Instantly pulling the shadows back to her.

"Ok tell me your names," Janae ordered.

"So we're just supposed to do what you say?" Tam asked.
"I'd do what she says," Jussin warned, "I've been more than sorry a few times."

"And we should trust your judgment?" Tam said,

"umm yeah I live with her." Jussin shot back. There was another thunk as Jussin hit the ground. Janae appeared in the same position as she'd been when she's held Keefe down.

"We are not here to fight. We are here because we need to talk to our.... sister.

"Who is that?" Fitz asked.

"Sophie". Fitz's jaw dropped. Biana looked happy, and Keefe yelled

"WHAT?"

"I know weird but –"Janae was cut off by Keefe

"Prove it."

"Fine." Janae said surprising both Keefe and Jussin

"But-" Jussin objected,

"No." Janae said. she faced Keefe,

"Jussin and I were, lets say... created? By the Black Swan we've been living in the Forbidden cities. Today we found a way into the Black Swans files finding we had a... sister. We broadcasted her name so only she'd hear, we also know how to slip past Sophie's blocking. Oh, Also I can steel people's shadows." Janae flicked her wrists and uncovered Lyn and Tam that'd been hiding. "Hey!"

"That's about it."' Janae said,

"Oh yes, knowing Tam he'll want to do a reading on me Jussin."

"Wait. Two things." Keefe broke in. "How did you get in here? Also, what are your abilities?" Dex turned sharply to look at Janae and Jussin.

"Abilities? As in Plural?" the questions tone was light, but the meaning was heavy. If these two strangers were dangerous, it would be difficult to defeat them if they had multiple abilities. Jussin glared at Keefe;

"We aren't just going to tell you our every secret."

" But we will make an exception if it helps you to trust us," Janae said simply "My abilities are, well, kinda like a shade, polyglot and telepath," Janae said completely ignoring Keefe's first question.

"Mine is again kinda like vanisher, polyglot, and telepath. Jussin added.

"What do you mean kinda?" Keefe asked. No one answered him.

"I do want to do a reading of you" Tam broke in.

"Wow," he said. After he'd finished "you're kind of like Sophie your shadow vaper an-"

"Yeah, we know,"Jussin said. "But we need to talk to Sophie."

"What?" Sophie asked.

"You need to come with us."

"What! Now you're trying to just leap out of here with the most powerful elf in the world!?" Keefe exclaimed.

"Yes actually, you got a problem with that?" Janae asked.

"Yeah, a do how we know your part of the black swan for real?"

"Because of this," Janae pulled out of their shirt a swan pendant, "there satisfied?" She asked.

Fitz soffed, "I guess but if Sophie is going we're all going." Janae and Jussin looked at each other eyes looked in some sort of contest, Jussin broke away first.

"Fine,"Jussin answered rolling his eyes.

"Would you mind teleporting us to the house?" Janae asked. "I'm not sure if I could get us all there. I haven't marked you yet."

" What?" Keefe asked. Sophie barely heard him her mind was focused on the word marked like how a dog would mark their territory.

"Sure but I have no idea where your home is." Sophie said.

"Oh, right I can implant it in your mind". said Janae

"Let's go we'll meet you there,"Jussin said.

"How?" Keefe asked. But they'd already zipped away. "I tell you those two are weird and not in a good way!"
