Healing Love

The mysterious girl

Some time passed after what happened with the girl. I convinced myself I wouldn't see her again. So much time passed I couldn't even remember her well.

It was another day that I spend with my friends and family. I had a test at college wish I surprisingly aced, surprisingly even though I studied the whole night before...

I got home to see my two best friends with suitcases looking at me surprised.

"You forgot the camp?"

"What camp." I said looking at Noah's reaction.

"Christian camp." Said Alvin while looking at me.

I kept thinking for a while...
Until it hit me...

"Oh my Gosh, I forgot."

I ran to my room and packed my stuff as fast as possible. Surprisingly I didn't forget anything, which is weird, because I always forget something, and is always the most important thing.

We got in the car and started driving. We got there quite quickly, since we live pretty close.

We were walking to the reception when I felt a bag against my arm.

I turned around to se a girl in the floor triying to pic up her stuff and I got a flashback from when I was a bully at my school and I always targeted people who looked weaker because I felt bad about myself and was jealous of them...

I needed to help her.

"Oh I'm sorry, are you okay."

"It's okay. I'm fine, don't worry." Said a quite tall girl, she had tanned skin and was wearing jeans and a shirt with flower patterns. She had her curly hair in a high ponytail.

My friends were inside sheking in and they didn't notice I was helping out the girl.

"Let me help you." I said trying to make up for my clumsiness.

"It's okay, I can do this."
No, I don't mind really."
"But is my stuff..,"

Wow.. this girl is really stubborn...

But that makes two of us.

"No, let me help." I say in a calm way. She looks at me surprised. I guess she's finally getting that I'm stubborn like her.

I can't help but find her slightly familiar, like I've seen her somewhere...

Oh well, I guess I'm starting to go crazy. (Laughing at myself).

"Okay, you can help me." She finally says.

I carry half of her stuff and she helps, because she insisted way too much.
At least she doesn't depend on other people... and that's good.

When we reached her cabin I see a big smile on her face  while waving at somebody....

Cute

I look ahead and see two other girls inside their cabin, which I guess are her friends.

She steps inside and five seconds later she's out, grabbing the stuff I helped her with. That's when I noticed her looking behind me.

I turned my back and saw Noah and Alvin looking at me from across the area, (because we're at a camping area.)

I'll never hear the end from those two when I go with them, I love those guys, but they use every chance they get to tease me.

I look at the girl and realize that she's more tall than I expected, she appears to be 5'10 or 152.4 cm.

Then I remember something and ask her before she steps inside...

"Hey..."

What a smooth start Caleb.."what's your name?"

She looks at me for a second and then comes back to earth.

"Where are my manners, my name is Abigail, the ones inside are my friends Grace and Rachael."

They both said hi through the cabin's window.

"Nice to meet you Abigail, my name is Caleb Ethan, but people call me Caleb. My friends over there are Alvin and Noah." I say pointing to where they are.

"I'm sorry to ask, but which is which?"
I looked at her and started laughing .

That was an interesting question to ask.

"Well the one with the hoodie is Alvin, he has blue eyes is really tall, has straight brown hair and white skin, the other one is also tall, has straight blonde hair, hazel eyes and tanned skin."

She starts to laugh and I wonder what is going on in that head of hers.

"It would have been enough to say "one to the left" and "one to the right" she finally says after laughing for a moment.

"Well now that we are taking about friends, tell me which is which with yours."

She leaves out a small chuckle...

Well the one that has blonde hair, blue eyes and white skin is Rachael, and the curly redhead with freckles and white skin that kind of looks like Merida from brave, which she hates, but I find super cute is Grace."

I chuckle at her meticulousness as well.

"Well you're a fast learner." I say to her in a playful tone.

"Yes, I am."

I turn around and see my friends waving at me to go to them.

"Well I need to go, my friends are calling me, see you around Abigail."

"See you around Caleb."

I walk to my friends and I see them smirking at me...
I know what's coming.

"Who was that?" Asked Alvin

"Don't start... its too early for this."

"Just asking."

"She'll probably never talk to me again.

"You never know..." then Noah joined the conversation.

"That's right." Said Alvin

That's how a new adventure was soon going to begin for me, an adventure I would never forget.
