Oliver was off of Ebony, his horse, as she was in bad condition. He swiftly guided the freezing horse around trees and over small streams. Oliver himself was trying to take control of his situation, despite wanting to curl up into a little ball and cry.

He thought about Len and Rin. Were they happy to be gone? Were they sad because they were forced away from home? Would they isolate themselves? Would they try to live a new life and conceal their powers once more?

Len had a surprising knack for poetry, and Rin had an angels voice. Maybe they would find lives as musicians. Or maybe ranch hands, as Rin and Len both love horses. Oliver sighed. His mind usually went wild with ideas.

"It's fine girl. Everything will okay." He said, trying to convince himself as much as he was trying to convince Ebony. As he walked father, he thought he was smoke. He dismissed it as his imagination, until he got closer.

"It's real..." He muttered. "Come on, Eb!" He said, louder this time. When they got to the shack, Oliver felt relieved beyond belief.

"VY Trading Post." He sighed. "Ebony, stay here." He ordered the horse. He felt mad at himself for leaving her out here, but he had no choice. He walked inside the building, and immediately felt the warmth.

"Hello, I'm Yuuma. Welcome the VY Trading Post." A pink haired boy at the counter said unenthusiasticly as he read a book.

"Uh... Hi!" Oliver started, before getting cut off by someone behind the counter.

"Yuuma! I told you to stock the fish oil!" The voice was female and old-like.

"Mizki, everything is frozen. No one is going to buy fish oil." Crashes were heard from the back room.

"So? I- oh! Hello, welcome to the VY Trading Post!" A blank haired girl, probably Mizki, said, after stumbling out of the back room.

"Um... Hi. I was wondering if you had any, uh, wintery things?" Oliver asked.

"Oh, that's in the winter section." Mizki said, smiling kindly.

"Yeah, I don't have any money..." Oliver explained. Yuuma raised his eyebrow.

"Well, this is s Trading Post. You can trade something." The blonde prince looked out the window at his freezing horse.

"What about an ebony colored horse? I know, ridiculous, but she needs someplace to go where he won't freeze! Please take him." Oliver begged. Yuuma looked like he was about to say something, but Mizki cut him off.

"Of course! BLACK! WHITE!" Two other boys stumbled out of the back room. They looked similar to Yuuma, but different.

"Get the horse and put it in the stable." Mizki said. The white haired one, probably White, grumbled, while the black haired one, Black, nodded with tears in his eyes.

Mizki smiled at Oliver, and Oliver smiled back. He went to the other side of the store and grabbed a couple outfits. He was grabbing some boots when the door opened, revealing a small black haired girl. She has two small pigs tails and was covered head to toe in big warm clothes and snow.

"Excuse me." She said, taking off her scarf. She picked out a rope and a bag of apples. "How much is this going to be, Mizki?" The small girl said, smiling.

"Uh... 4000 ¥." Mizki answered. The girl frowned.

"I only have 1000 ¥..."

"Oh... I'm sorry, Yuki, but that won't be able to buy these..." Mizki said.

"Where are you coming from this time?" Yuuma asked.

"North Mountain." Yuki answered.

"North Mountain..." Oliver muttered. "Uh, excuse me, but was something weird going on there?" He asked.

"Yeah! It was freezing, well, freezing more than usual. The ice was so frozen, I couldn't get any for my sleigh!" Yuki answered.

"Well," Mizki sighed. "It won't hurt to let you sleep in the stables tonight." Yuki smiled.

"Thank you, Mizzy!" Yuki smiled. "Goodbye Yuuma. Nice to meet you, uh..."

"Oh! Um, Oliver." He smiled at the girl. Yuki nodded before leaving.

"So is this all?" Yuuma asked. Oliver stared at Yuki's items. "Can I take these as well?"

"No, Sven. We'll have to wait until we get to town." Yuki answered, and she felt a twinge of sadness when Sven snorted in frustration. "Oh, don't be a sour apple! I got is a place where we can sleep." Yuki said petting the reindeer.

She stood up and lead Sven to the stables. She saw a black horse, but ignored it and plopped down onto the hay. She pulled Sven closer to her and cuddled into his soft fur.

Yuki had been attached to Sven as long as she could remember. All she remembered about her parents is that they were feeble and small. However, she never had been. She also remembered black tearing eyes, but nothing else.

She had been with the Ice Harvesters for a long time, and with Miki and Kiyoteru even longer. She loved the two trolls. They taught her, loved her, fed her, and housed her. Yuki had become their adopted child.

She wasn't complaining. She loved them, almost as much as she loved Sven. She sighed, thinking of what Kaito and Meiko would say when she told them about North Mountain.

"Excuse me?" And Yuki jumped in surprise. She turned to see the boy from earlier. He stood tall and imposing. His bright yellow eye sparkled with determination. "Take me to North Mountain!"
