Kayari POV:

Today was our championship volleyball game against USC and I was so anxious; nervous yet excited at the same time. Looking to my right I saw Amara, Khylan, Ryan, and our other teammates Jordan and Devon who would be starting with us. First team to twenty-five winning by two points will win, and I was hoping tonight's victors would be us.

Looking around the stadium it wasn't hard to find my and Amara's family. They had posters and all with our names and numbers on them wishing us luck.

On the side of my parents, I saw Blake and Blair; they were just so cute. I know Blair and Amara weren't official yet but their chemistry was undeniable.

"So cus, you ready to beat some Trojan ass?" I asked Amara, while we were stretching.

"You already know," she stated cockily.

"Guys I'm so nervous" Khylan stated walking over towards us.

Every time we have a game, Khy would get so nervous and almost go into a panic but she always did fine.

"Don't worry about it, you'll do fine" I stated trying to comfort her to the best of my abilities.

"I know but still, just anticipating when the game will start is so nerve wrecking. It all gets better when you're actually doing it that way you think about it so much and know what will happen," she said.

"You are absolutely right" I replied.

The referee blew the whistle acknowledging that the game was about to start. Pumping up the other five girls I was starting with, we all jogged around the indoor court to shake hands with our opponents.

Getting into our positions, Amara stood in the corner of the square ready to serve the ball. Let the game begin.

Rejoicing in our win, Amara and I went to meet up with our family. Everything so far was going good for me, I felt like I passed my Psych test with flying colors, I had the best boyfriend ever, and our team just won the championship. My summer was starting off very good.

Reaching Blake, my parents, aunt and uncle, I was curious as to where Blair ran off to when I noticed him talking to Gianni.

Gianni was a girl that got around -so I heard- and is someone who Amara and I aren't that fond of. I've had my share of run- ins and almost fights with her, and she is not worth it.

I see since she couldn't get with my man she had to go after his brother. Typical slut.

I looked over to Amara and saw the frown on her face. She rolled her eyes and smacked her lips, putting on a fake smile as she neared her mother and father.

"Whatever, it's not like we're together anyway," she mumbled.

"Yea but shit y'all could've fooled me. I doubt he'll do anything with her anyway" I said.

"Right" she replied while embracing her mom.

"Oh my goodness, you two were so good!" my mother Rachel said.

"Yes you two make a good team, I'm really glad your so close" remarked my aunt Michele looking towards us in adoration.

My father Khalil and uncle Aiden are brothers who got together when they met the then bestfriends Rachel and Michele- not that they aren't best friends still.

Let them tell it, it was lust at first sight, and then came the love. They were "experimenting" with each other since the girls had a "don't let your guard down" thing going on and were too young to be in love anyway only being nineteen. It's not like my father and uncle cared since they were in their prime, bedding anyone with a box. They started to take things serious when they didn't want to share the girls with anyone and the girls were so hard headed testing my father and uncles patience and trying them by flirting with other dudes in their face. The rest is history blah blah blah.
