Fade

Why?

Who cares? Who ever cared? When was the last time someone DID care? Never?    I thought to myself as I was laying in my nest. It was mid-day, I was supposed to be out getting poppy seeds, since we were running low...but the clan can wait. I suddenly hear two voices talking quietly, like a whisper, outside the medicine cat den, or as I should say it, my den.

"I feel bad for doing this to jay, holyleaf." I feel like lionblaze and holyleaf are the ones outside my den, considering that voice did sound like lionblaze's.

"Lionblaze, I already told you... This needs to happen... It just... It needs to happen." I heard holyleaf sa- wait! Whoa whoa...! What needs to happen!?

I then hear two cats coming inside my den,I have quite a strong feeling it's lionblaze and holyleaf. I'm still laying down, acting like I didn't hear a word, nor did I say a word when they walked in.

"Hey, jay? You gotta second?" lionblaze asked, as I sat up.

"No lionblaze. I don't." I then spoke.

"Please, Jayfeather? It will take literally, like 15 minutes. Please?" Holyleaf begged me.

"I SAID NO!" I wasn't in the mood for this at the moment.

"FINE JAYFEATHER! BE THAT WAY!" She then stormed out of my den, with lionblaze, following her slowly.

Me and holyleaf never get along. I don't care though. Not like she does either. And then lionblaze... Well... He, he  kinda just looks out for me... Except for this time, considering what I heard them talk about earlier.

I decided to go find lionblaze and hollyleaf. One I stepped outside the medicine cat den I ran into a larger cat. Lionblaze.

"Lionblaze... Listen... I dont know why you and hollyleaf want me to follow you guys wherever but... Ill go..." At this point I dont care what happens to me. I dont care what my two siblings have planned, but at this point it really doesn't matter.

"No. Jay, you were right to decline holly- I mean me and hollyleaf. What we were g-" I cut him off as I spoke.

"I made my decision. Go get hollyleaf. Tell her I'll be waiting right here for you two to get back and take me wherever." I sat by the den as I waited for my brother to return with hollyleaf.

"Come on jay... Let's go.we arent staying in camp for this." I heard hollyleaf say as I walked out of camp with holly and lion.

We eventually stopped walking and sat down in a random spot in the grass.

"Okay. Jay?" Hollyleaf said calmed.

"What?" I felt myself getting angry because I don't want to be here.

"Say yes or no." Lionblaze told me.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because...just..."-he glanced over at holyleaf, she looked frustrated-"just do it, jay..."

"Oookkaayy...? No?" I asked confused as hell.

Once I said 'no' i heard lionblaze begin to walk away or he turned away from me. Holyleaf giggled a little.

"Lionblaze...?" I heard holyleaf say lions name.

"Hm...?" He responded.

"You know what to do now." Holyleaf said as I heard lionblaze come back.

"I-i kn-know... holyleaf..." Lionblaze stuttered as he sat next to me.

"U-um...j-jay?" Lionblaze asked.

"What?" I said.

"You um... You.... *sigh* I'm not going to do this." I then hear my brother run off as I hear my sister run towards me.

"I KNEW YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO DO IT! SO I WILL!" I heard her yell.

Suddenly I felt my head and my body hit the ground hard as I was knocked off the ground. I felt something biting my neck. Holyleaf. Her claws digging into my body. Eventually, I feel nothing. I hear nothing. But I see one thing...

"Jayfeather." Said a sweet, kind, and familiar voice

"Spottedleaf? But... How?!" I was so confused. Spottedleaf was dead.... And I could.... See her?

"Yes jay...its me. Nice to see you agian." She spoke so sweetly and she smiled.

"Spottedleaf? Whats going on? Am I asleep? Dead?" I dont understand anything that's happening.

"Jay, its alright, you passed out when you hit the ground. Your okay. But, you can't trust Holyleaf." She sat beside me.

"Why? I mean, why did she do that to me? What was she trying to do? Why was lionblaze running off? I don-" spottedleaf cut me off, as she looked down at the ground.

"I cannot tell you all of  that... But I can tell you that you can't trust her... Dont be alone with her. What she's planning is not right, and its extremely dangerous." She sounded serious about this. I'm still anting to know what it is she's planing but... I have to respect the fact that she is not allowed to tell me.

"*sigh* can you please tell me why lionblaze ran off?" She only shook her head.

"I promise you, jayfeather, everything will be okay... I promise."  She said as she faded away slowly and gave me a warm smile. Everything eventually became dark, and that was the moment I knew I had awoken as I heard a cat come up to me.

"Jay? I'm sorry that I did that to you. You know, when I attacked you...?" Hollyleaf. Was she alone? Were we alone?

"H-hollyleaf? A-are we alone?" I said cautiously.

"Yes?" She said confused. I then felt her fur next to mine... And a sharp object poking me on my side. It begins to hurt a bit more... And more... The pain... it is now very painful... Whats happening...?
