Max and (Y/n) still going to the same camp for the past couple years have finally decided this year would be there last and they had plans to make the best of it. It was currently June which is the first month of camp and they have done nothing so far, so (Y/n) wanted to change that. He/she told Max that tonight they'd sneak away from the evening camp activity and get on a boat to the middle of Lake Lilac, just to do something before the second month starts.

For now Max sat under a tree and  waited till the sun decides to go down so he can do more than just sit around a bunch of younger campers, Him and along with other campers were older now and the camp has to stay in business somehow so new campers came and went. He didn't know the names of any of them but they weren't as annoying as he expected when they first arrived. While they made bird feeders out of pine cones with David helping them he just looked left and right seeing if he could see (Y/n) anywhere. His friend was no where in sight but he didn't worry, probably just screwing shit up somewhere that's until Nikki poked her head from the thick branches of the tree Max was under. "Are you looking for (Y/n)?" She asked twigs caught up in her pigtails as Max jumped. "Shit! Nikki you need to cut it out with that crap!" He yelled upward at his snickering friend, David didn't hear him swear though so that's one less pain in the ass at the moment. Max calmed his nerves and put his hands in the pockets of his hoodie, different hoodie from when he was young but same color and brand "But yeah I am looking for that bastard, have you seen him/her?"
He asked as Nikki moved her body to another lower branch.

"Yeah! He's/she's right over there!" Nikki swings her legs and points with her head, Max follows her gesture and watches his friend walk out of the Mess hall with a small backpack over his/her shoulders. (Y/n) sees his stare and waves, walking happily over to the two friends "Hey Nikki! Hi Max!"
He/she calls there names, Nikki waves and smiles, Max blushes at the fact his friend was happy to see him but plays it cool, after all he wasn't the type that looked like he could hold a relationship together. (Y/n) glances at the younger campers along with some of there other friends who were finishing up there birb feeders, hopping he/she won't miss this camp but knows he/she will anyway.

Nikki jumps from the branch landing next to Max who was looking at (Y/n) lean against the tree, the sun that was just about to loose itself over the hills shown perfectly how amazing (Y/n)'s eyes were. The teal haired trouble maker noticed Max's interest in (Y/n) a while ago and always teased him about it but was always scared when he got too angry over it. Nikki kicked his elbow a little and giggled, Max glared at her and stuck his tongue out. (Y/n) sighed and looked at Max who had the same normal expression on his face. "So Max you ready for our first, 'rebellious act' " he/she put finger quotes up as he/she spoke. Nikki looked over to him/her "Oh yeah you guys are doing that one thing tonight aren't ya?!" She yelled making Max quickly stand to his toes and get into her face "Say it louder I'm pretty sure David couldn't quite hear you!" He sarcastically said having (Y/n) nod put a finger to his/her lips. Nikki wasn't clueless so she just kinda laughed and went "ohhh kayyy!"with a goofy tone to her voice.

"But yeah, me and Max are gonna get on a boat and hope we don't get murdered by sea creatures." (Y/n) said the last part sarcastically as he/she carefully watched David's movement, making sure him/her and Max have the right moment to bail to the pier. Max groaned getting impatient as Nikki just shrugged "Welp, good luck with that I'm going to go see if I can climb in two trees at once!" With that there crazy friend ran off into a close part of the woods next to all the tents and such. "I swear she is half squirrel and wolf." (Y/n) said watching Nikki carelessly place her arms and legs around one tree. Max smiled and joked along "Eh I'd say more mountain lion-goat thing." The two shared a small laugh together whilst the sun continued to go down making it easier to not be seen.
