Chapter 36; You'll be okay baby

*June of the next year. (same year as the update)

*Twins are 2 years 2months old (their starting to talk.)

Spencer POV

It was just a basic thursday, Toby was working, and I am home with the girls. This is our last summer together, until they start preschool, but that won't be that bad they only go 2 days a week the first year.

Kylene has been coughing a lot, and it is making me nervous that it's something bad. Toby said its probably just allergies but I don't know, he said it don't sound too bad.

The girls are sitting on the couch watching disney junior, while I was making lunch. After we ate lunch, I was really listening to Kylie's cough. and I really don't like the sound of it, it sounds like it is getting so much worse. So I called Toby.

"Hey honey." Toby says when he answers

"Hey, I am listening to kylie, and she sounds like she is getting way worse" I say worriedly

"Okay, let me hear her."

*Toby listens to Kylie coughing.

"I think It could be whooping cough, or pneumonia." I say

"Yeah, It has got a lot worse, you could be right, take her to the doctors, or if they can't get her in, then to urgent care."

"Okay, I'll call the doctors."

"Okay, call me once you know what's wrong okay?"

"I will!"

"Love you!"

"Love you too!"

Then we hang up.

After calling the doctors, I get the girls ready, and we head to the doctors.

We sit in the waiting room.

"Kylene Cavanaugh" The nurse calls

we get up, and head back to a room.

When we get back there we explain whats going on, then the doctor does some things, and runs a couple tests, like strep as one.

"Okay, so we know what is wrong." The doctor says "Kylene has whooping cough. Notice when she coughs it makes a whoop noise?"

"Yeah, now that you say that, so what does that mean?"

"Well, At her young age, we will have to transfer her to a hospital, so she is watching carefully, so she don't get worse."

"Okay, thank you."

We head to children's hospital. and I call Toby to update him, once we get to her room, and she gets settled.

I call Toby

"hello? Whats going on" he says

"Well, were at children's hospital, Kylie has whooping cough, and they watch to keep an eye on her, because of her age"

"oh my god! I'll come up there asap!"

"okay, she is doing good so far, on antibiotics."

"okay, good I will still be up there soon!"

"okay bye love you."

"love you too!"

I had Penelope sitting on the couch in the room, as she watched tv, while I was sitting on the bed, with Kylie. I called my mom and she is coming to pick up Penny for a couple nights, so she don't have to stay there.

Toby POV

I run in the hospital, after work letting me go for the day.

"Hello, who are you looking for?" The lady at the desk asks.

"Kylene Cavanaugh, she's my daughter, I'm her father Toby Cavanaugh."

"okay, yes room 231"

"okay, thank you!"

I head to the room, and see Spencer sitting on the bed with Kylie.

"Hey Spence. How is she doing?"

"okay, a lot better then she was. how was work?"

"great, you want to take penny to your moms? and I will stay here with Kylie? so your mom don't have to come out her?"

"sure"

I head over to my parents, with Penny to take her there for a couple nights. When we get there I run in and say buy to Penny, update my parents on Kylie, thank them again then head back to the hospital.

*about a hour later

I get back to the hospital and when I get to the room, I walk in to see Toby laying on his back sleeping, and Kylie is laying on his abs on her stomach sleeping. I took a picture, it was the cutest thing ever.

*2 days later.

It is saturday, we have been here since thursday. Kylene is doing a lot better, and the doctor is coming to check on

her again in a hour.

"Hello guys." The doctor says coming in

"Hello." Me and Toby says

after checking on her, she says

"Okay, so Kylene will be going home tomorrow, if she don't get worse tomorrow or anything, but she is doing amazing!"

"Yay!" I say

"Thank you doctor!" Toby says

Tomorrow We go home, and then my parents bring Penny back home, and have dinner with us. I am so happy that she is healthy now!
