Chapter Six

☆Three Months Later☆

Abbey went to her dad's every weekend as usual, she stopped her baby sitting business cause she hasn't been feeling well lately. She also has been gaining weight. Only in the stomach area, and her weight is going up, but she is still skinny armed and legged and faced. She hasn't noticed a change in that. She was a little concerned why she was getting little bigger. She always eats healthy. Abbey couldn't stand the smell of any kind of meat when it was being cooked. She felt as if her stomach has turned against her favorite foods. Her mom insisted on going to the doctor, but she would always insist that she was fine, or the stomach bug and flu was going around.

☆Two Months Later☆

Abbey has gotten a lot bigger Cody has even noticed, but he says he still loves her the same like she was when she was skinnier. Abbeys mom still bothered her about going to the doctor. She quit going to her dads because he kept making funny jokes about her gaining weight. He said so many cruel jokes Abbey has even cried about it. She has been feeling something grabbing at her ribs once every two days. It was painful but she still thought she had a stomach bug.

Three weeks went by and Abbeys mom convinced her into going to the doctors. Abbey wanted to go alone, but she let her mom come so that she can keep her company. When she got to the dollar store her mom hopped out and said, "I will be here a while. You go to the doctor. Pick me up when you are done." Abbey smiled and said "Okay mom see you then!" Abbey drove towards the doctors.

Abbey signed the papers and talked to the lady up front saying she didn't have any appointment, she just really needed a doctor. The lady handed a clipboard of some paper work she needed to fill out. Abbey filled them out and handed them back to her. Ten minutes later a woman doctor opened a door and called, "Abbey? Abbey Gillian?" Abbey hopped up and said, "That's me!" The lady smiled. She led her to a room and told her to wait till the doctor gets in. She closed the door. Abbey sat in a chair and examined the room.

That walls were white, it was freezing cold. There was a little doctor bed, the ones with paper on it. A counter with a sink that had a container for cotton balls and tongue stick thingys... and bandaids. And right beside the door there was a small desk with a laptop on it, and a swivel chair.

Five minutes later the doctor comes in. She walks to the computer and sits down in the chair and puts a file in the desk. She then says, "Hello Abbey Gillian! I'm Dr. Hope! What seems to be the problem?" Abbey smiles and says, "For five months I have gained weight, for some reason my body can't stand the smell of any kind of cooking meat. Also, I feel as if my stomach has turned against my favorite foods." The doctor writes a few notes and then says, "What kinds of foods do you eat? Like on a daily basis, if you were to cook what would you make?" Abbey says, "I usually eat a salad and drink a smoothie with all kinds of healthy fruits and vegetables in it. If I were to snack on something it would be vegechips. They are my favorite!" The doctor smiles and says, "We could do a cat scan and an Xray of your stomach to find out what is wrong, but we will have to wait till next month's appointment." Abbey nods and then the lady smiles and asks, "Is that everything for you ma'am?" Abbey responds, "Yes, and thank you." The lady hands her a card with the date of her next appointment. Abbey gets back into her car and leaves. She pulls into the parking lot of the dollar store. She walks inside and skims through the aisles till she found her mom. Her mom was looking in the house decoration aisle. Abbey says, "Hey mom!" Her mom turns around  and says, "Oh! Let me go check out everything. She waits in line with her mother. Soon they get home. Her mom just realized that Abbey just got back from the doctors, "Abbey! How'd it go at the doctors?" Abbey turned and said, "The lady said she will get me a spot open to do a cat scan and an Xray next month of my next appointment." Her mom nodded and walked off to the living room to watch TV. Abbey goes to her room and takes a nap. She has been getting really tired lately, like very tired randomly. Even in the middle of the day.
