** Authors note!! So Yes. I am back. I know it's been about four months or so and I really have no other excuse as to why I haven't been updating other than the fact that I had ( and still have) no idea as to where this story is going. I'm going to continue writing it because it fills up time that I would otherwise be wasting this very hot summer. This is the fourth chapter to my story and it may feel a little sped up but I hadn't a clue as to how I was going to get to where I was going. This chapter is, for lack of a better term, a filler. I'm not that pleased with it but there it is. Read and comment if you'd like.**

Chapter 4: How does that make you feel?

What is the absolute worst question a psychiatrist can ask you? How does that make you feel. How are you supposed to answer that? Of course it makes you feel like crap to have people talking in your head, and seeing things that aren't there. So you tell him it feels like crap. Now what does he want you to do? Elaborate. That's why I dislike shrinks. Going to one over and over again, doing the same thing everyday and expecting a different result. That's what true insanity is. So here I am sitting in Dr.D's office in one of those overly ornate chairs that existed solely in the 1800's. As stated previously there is no real reason for me to be here now. The way he glances at me over his bifocals makes me feel like a cow in the process of selection for slaughtering. Do psychiatrists really expect their patients to open up to them? To share their secrets? To tell them that what they are doing is actually helping them? In hindsight I guess venting about your day may help relieve you of some stress you are holding on to. But they wish to see you day after day as if one of those visits you'll crack up laughing telling them it was all a joke. That you were pretending all along. They treat you like you are a child, delusional and in your own fantasy world. One that you want to stay in. Not one that you cannot get out of. They think it's simply rebellion. You doing the opposite of what you're told. Like a teenager going through a phase. No one stops to think if you simply can't leave the world your conscience has created for you. As I waited for the last ten minutes of my hour long session to dry up, I couldn't help but think of last night's events. After a long talk of our pasts, and an even longer talk of our plans for the following week, we each headed our separate ways and went to bed. This morning I woke up with a note from Marie saying she had an early meeting with her shrink and that she'd see me when I got out of my session. Four minutes down, one to go. Dr. D was in the middle of a sentence when I bolted up from my seat and out the door. My time with him was over for the day. I walked down the hall like every other day running my fingers along the crown molding as I went, humming softly and glancing momentarily at the portraits of previous owners and employees, of scenery and landscapes. I then arrived at the hallway that held all the rooms. 34... 35... 36.

I opened the door to find Marie sitting on her bed in the middle of a mess that appeared to be made up of shoes, jewelry, and clothes, some of which were mine.

She looked up at me with a guilty face.

"I'm sorry... I was looking for something to wear tonight! I'm so excited we're going to go dancing! And eat.... And drink. And talk to boys! New boys. Boys that aren't crazy!" She said with a very excited clap. I walked carefully to my bed trying to avoid heels and pumps.

"Is there a reason why you went through my clothes?" I asked. She looked at me again with puppy dog eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I've already worn all my clothes. I thought maybe I could steal some of yours?" she asked with a hopeful smile. I just nodded and laid down.

"So.... How was your session?" she asked politely.

"It was... like every other session to be completely honest." I grabbed my Copy of The Bishop of Hell by Marjorie Bowen and began skimming through the pages. Soon however I was being pulled off my bed to a standing position. Marie stood before me eyeing me with scrutiny. I grew self conscious and tried to cover up but she was no longer looking at me. She was running around the room picking up items and throwing blouses everywhere. She came back to me carrying a dark purple dress with a square neckline, a black sash with a bow across the waist, and a ruffled skirt. It was freaking adorable. I looked around and picked up a pair of black oxford heels and black tights. I looked at Marie and smiled. She was holding an aqua colored mini dress with alternating light and dark ruffles. It fit her personality perfectly and brought out the blue in her eyes. She looked around for a few minutes before finding a pair of black heels with bows in the center. We stuffed our clothes into one of our huge purses and walked out of our tore up room. As we were walking down the hall we ran into Brie and Chris who each had their own bag.

"Hey guys!" they said at almost the exact same time.

"Hey!" we answered as we all turned to walk down the hall.

"So guess what I heard Nicki!" said Chris.

"What?"

"Barbie and Ken are dating! They are going to Sinergy"

"Wow what a coincidence!" said Marie, "We are heading there too tonight!"

"Seriously? Sinergy? That sounds like a tacky strip club." I said.

"It's anything but tacky! And it's not a strip club, it's actually this really awesome night club that doesn't card. So yeah, we're in." Marie explained as she grabbed my arm and pulled me away with the other two girls following. We traveled down an abandoned hallway into the kitchen and escaped through a back door. We continued to walk down through the back property unseen.

"How is this all so easy? You would think that a place that housed insane teenagers would have more security." No one answered me but instead laughed. We kept walking through bushes and tall grass until we reached a road.

"Okay changing time!" Marie said and they started taking the clothes they brought out of their bags.

"Right here? On the side of the road? Where anyone could drive by?"

"Chill! Nobody comes down this way! We've done it millions of times! Just hurry up and change!" So I did. It didn't take that long and soon we were all stuffing our previously worn clothes back into our backs which they dropped in a bush along side the road. I followed suit after grabbing a smaller purse I had brought and we all started off again. It wasn't that long until we were approaching a building with a neon sign say SINERGY. I still think it's a highly tacky name for a night club. We walked up to the line and Marie was right; they didn't card us. The interior of the building was dimly lit and crowded. People were all over the place dancing, talking, and drinking. We made our way through the throng of people and up to the bar.

"What can I get you girls?" Asked the bartender.

"Umm I want an Appletini?" answered Chris. When she noticed our stares she turned to us and said, "What? I don't care how fruity they are; they taste amazing!" We just laughed.

"I will take a White Russian please." I said.

"I will take a Delilah please," Ordered Marie.

"I will take a...." We all looked at Brie expectantly, "Gin & Tonic?" We all smiled and paid. We sipped our drinks quietly before Fascination by La Roux came on. Marie Grabbed my arm and pulled me out to the dance floor with Chris and Brie following. This was going to be a crazy night.
