2. Who is he?

Thank god it's Tuesday. I can sleep. On Tuesdays we have late start, instead of 7:36 we go in at 8:15. Yeah, it doesn't seem that long but instead of waking up at 5:30 and getting up at 6:00 I can just sleep until 6:30.

I got ready for school and got my brother ready for my mom. We all got in the car. Today I was driving. I have my license but I don't have a car. My mom lets me drive sometimes. We got to school and my mom jumped out and got in the drivers seat as I said goodbye to Tyler and hugged my mom.

"Bye I'll see you Guys after school" I said with a smile

I knew today was going to be good. I really liked Jake. He has a great personality. I walked through the gates and saw him standing by a tree with about 4 guys. I wasn't really sure where to go, being as I am new here and have no friends.

"Hey, what's up" Jake smiled

Woah, he scared me.

"Hi Jake" I smiled

"I saw you walking by yourself and I though I would be a gentleman and accompany you." He said

"Yeah I don't really have any friends here" I replied

"You have me" he smiled

Now that made my heart flutter. I felt he really liked me too. Is this to good to be true?

"I do, I do have you" I smiled back

Man, he just made my day. We started to walk over to the vending machine, Jake wanted to buy some chips. As we were walking a guy walked up.

"Hey man what's up? Oh who's this?" He smiled as Jake stepped in front of me. Huh?

"I'm Kat-" I was about to say as Jake cut me off.

"She's Katie, what do you want?" Jake said sternly.

"Woah man calm down, I just wanted to say hi to this pretty girl, is it a crime? Hey I'm Michael by the way." He grinned.

The bell rang but Jake stood his ground as did Michael. Michael reached out to shake my hand, but I didn't move because something is obviously up with this guy, according to Jake. Jake stopped his hand and Michael pushed Jake back. Jake was about to lunge forward but I grabbed Jakes hand and he stopped instantly.

"Have a nice day, Katie." Michael smiled...that sent chills down my spine. Just the way he smiled and said it was creepy.

I pulled Jake and he turned to walk with me. His hand still in mine as I asked him,

"Who was he?"

"That's Michael, he's a real asshole and he's dangerous. Please, please stay away from him. I don't want you to get hurt" Jake insisted

This must be a big deal if he doesn't want me to go near him, I mean Jake said he's dangerous.

"Why would he hurt me?" I asked.

"I can't tell you that now that you have met him" he replied.

Jake leaned in and whispered, "I really like you, if I could stand here forever I would never let your hand go."

Jake leaned over and kissed me, instantly my heart stopped. That was amazing I can't believe he actually kissed me.

"I like you too" I smiled

I'm pretty sure I was grinning ear to eat as we walked into class.
