Katie's POV

I've never gone through so much pain, the wounds to my stomach are excruciating.

This school year is headed toward a horrible start. I've never made a bigger mistake in my life. I like Jake, but we moved to fast. I should have told him that we should stay at the school. I'm so stupid.

"Katie?" Jake says walking into my room.

"Hmm?" I reply

"This is a mistake." Jake looks away. I look toward him. "What..?" What? "I..uh" he scrambles for words to say. "I'm sorry. I'm gonna go...I'll uh see you tomorrow.." With that he walks out of the room. "wait." I try to stand up but I screech in pain. "Jake.." I hobble out of my room. My dad is sitting on the couch. Jake keeps walking "Jake please.." I plead and follow him outside. He turns around. "Don't leave me, please." He looks at me. "Leave you? Why? What?" I ask "you talk to yourself you know?" Jake says. "I do?" "You said that it was a mistake. You told me that you didn't think it was a mistake. I tune my back and you are regretting everything. I know we moved to fast, I should have never took you to the house." "Jake stop" I ask "look at you!" Jake raises his voice. "I took your damn virginity and I got you hurt! And you want me to stop?" Jake takes a breath.

"If you take a look here, who is the one leaving?" I say calmly waving my hands around. "Nothing is perfect, we may not have started out smart, but we can still make it. Learn from mistakes." I say stepping back to lean against the wall letting out a small whimper. He walks over to me, picks me up and sets me down on the chair outside. "You're right....What am I doing?" He sighs. I look at him. "I guess I just finally had someone that shows caring feeling about me and I wanted to make sure...that uh..you would stay with me." Jake looks away. "I'm here." I say. With that my dad walks out side. "Hey Katie, Could you and uh come inside...there is something I need tell all of the family."

Jake and I walk inside. My brother and my mom already sitting on the couch. I take a seat next to my mom and Jake stands by the door, not sure if he should sit down or not.

"Sit down, son I don't know how close you are with my daughter but i'd much rather you be sitting than standing by the door uncomfortable." My dad tells him.

Jake nods and sits next to me.

"So, I uh, you know my job. It's never in one spot, that's why we are here now. Instead of moving again to New York, I'll be...leaving for...uh 3 months." My dad says as he looks away and back to my mother.
She gets up and walks out of the room, my dad follows.

"Dad's leaving?" Tyler looks up at me.

"Only for 3 weeks. It'll go by fast." I tell my brother.

"But why? We moved here for his job? Why is he leaving for his job?" Tyler asks.

"Well you see, dad is going to New York to train people to work where he works and that requires him to leave sometimes...you remember when he left for a month to go to Denver? It's just like that, just longer." I inform him.

"Oh okay" Tyler says as I hear my moms voice rising in the kitchen.

"Hey Tyler, why don't you go play with your toys in your room?" I ask him.

"Okay" he walks down the hall. I let out a sigh.

"Look I'm sorry Karen! I should have told you sooner but you can't get mad at me! You know my job." I hear my dad's voice star to rise.

"Least you could have done was warn me you were leaving." My mom replies.

"What time is it?" Jake asks "7:23" I reply.
