2D, the guardian angel

We arrived home. Hah... home... I guess I better start getting used to saying that.
Murdoc reminded me about our plans tonight. After the shock from today, I was glad this day would be memorable for a good reason. Green Day!
I was completely exhausted upon entering Kong and decided to just throw myself on the couch. My alone time was interrupted by a certain azure acquaintance.

"Umm... Y/n?" Blue Boy said, twiddling his thumbs. "I'm sorry about wot 'appened today, I jos'..."
I cut him off, closing my eyes as I lay my head on the armrest.
"It's okay, I understand. You were just looking out for me." I practically yawned the last part.
"Yew tired, luv?" he asks, tilting his head. I tiredly nod and breathe out a sign of comfort.
"I'll let yew get sum rest then." he said, walking away.
"Wait..."
He looked over his shoulder.
"Can I get some of that peppermint tea stuff? It's kinda growing on me."
He smiled, "Sure, luv."

I woke up, glancing at the clock on the wall. It was 4pm, I had been asleep for 3 hours. Murdoc had mentioned that the concert would start around 6, so I wasn't in too much of a haste. It took me a while to realise the t.v. was on and someone was on the other couch. I glance over to find Noodle watching some or other Japanese anime show.

"Morning Noods." I yawn, stretching myself out and sitting upright.
"Evening." she said, deep in concentration, eyes fixated on the screen. "You slept for a long while?"
"Yeah, well, I was feeling tired and I didn't want to fall asleep at the concert."
"Concert?"
"Yeah, Murdoc's taking me to a Green D..."
She paused her show and spun around to look at me.
"You're going on a date with Murdoc?!"
"What? No! He just offered to..."
"When's the concert?" she asked excitedly, ignoring my excuse.
"Umm... It starts at 6."
She grabbed me by the arm and started dragging me upstairs.
"Then what are we waiting for!? We need to pick an outfit out for you!"
In our hurry upstairs, we passed Blue Boy.
"Oh, I'm glad yew're awake Y/..."
"Can't talk, need to get Y/n ready for her date with Mudz." Noodle cut him short.

2D's POV

I stood there, frozen in temporary disbelief. "Did she jos' say Y/n and Murdoc are goin' on ah date?" I question myself.
She's hardly been here a week and Murdoc already jumped at the chance to ask her out. I was worried. Had he no decency after seeing what happened to her today? She doesn't need another guy to worry about! I'll have to talk to her about this... She at least deserves a warning...

Your POV

I was in the shower that was in the bathroom joint to Noodle's room while Noodle was getting my outfit ready. She hardly even gave me a chance to explain it wasn't really a date. I mean, it's Mudz. He doesn't date, he fucks. Right?
I lean my forehead against the wet tiles of the shower, hoping Noodle doesn't rip the whole situation out of proportion. (And frankly, hoping she doesn't choose an outfit that's too fancy for the concert.)

"You okay in there?" she knocks at the door.
"Yeah, I'm just finishing up."
I lather my hair with shampoo, snapped out of my thoughts by the sudden realisation that I had been standing in the shower for a considerable amount of time.
After turning the water off, I wrapped a towel around me, glancing at myself in the mirror. "Only pretty people go on dates anyway." I sighed, using that as an excuse and some form or reassurance.
Upon exiting the bathroom, I found a few articles of clothing on my bed. Ripped black tights, a black knee-length dress with a thin gold belt around the middle, a pair of combat boots and a leather jacket. It wasn't something I'd usually wear, but it definitely was the right kind of outfit for tonight.

"So?" she asked hopefully, standing near the doorway.
"Not bad." I nod, smiling at her. "Not bad at all."

2D's POV

Okay, I just need to make sure she's not going against her will and that she's happy about her decision. I'm not being paranoid about this, right?
My nerves were shot as I made my way to Y/n and Noodle's room. I'm just looking out for a friend, that's all.
I knock lightly at the door.
"Murdoc, she's not ready!"
"It's 2D..."
"Oh, come in Toochie!"

I opened the door and found Y/n sitting on her bed, Noodle behind her doing her hair. Y/n looked amazing. I don't think there's a word for it. She didn't have much make-up on, but that just enhanced her natural beauty. "Oh God, she really is going on a date." I think to myself, swallowing hard.
"I jos', umm... came to ask Y/n sumfink." I stuttered.

Noodle looked over to me and it was as if she could read my mind. As if she knew I was worried about what could happen tonight.

"All done! I'll check if Murdoc is ready." she said, making her way to the door, nodding at me as she passed by.
"What did you wanna talk about?" Y/n asked, patting on the open space next to her on her bed.
I made my way over and went though what I wanted to say one more time in my mind before speaking, "Y/n... about fhis date yew and Mudz are..."
"It's not a date, he just owed me one. Noodle just kinda got a bit too over excited, ya know?"
I nodded, a still serious expression on my face. "Regardless, I need to tell yew sumfink. Mudz is..."
"A womanizing douche?"
I snorted, "Yeah, fhat."
"I figured the first time he accused me of faking..." she trialled off.
"Yew don't haff to say it, I know wot yew mean."
"Yeah, well... the point is, Mudz is just a friend. And who says no to a free concert?" she chuckled.

Watching Y/n laugh had become one of the small joys I held dear. She just seemed to be so full of life when life wasn't being a bitch.

Your POV

He didn't say a word, just looked at me happily. Us both existing, no words needed. It was just one of those comfortable silences.
"Oh, before I forget..."
...at least it was until he broke it.

"Mudz told me to give yew fhis." He said, handing me a f/c phone. "'E also go' me one, but in black."
I look down at the screen and swipe through all the gadgets.
"I loaded my numba' on... yew know, in case yew need to get a hold of sumone."
"Thanks Blue Boy." I said, lightly punching his arm.

"Y/n! Murdoc is waiting in the car!" Noodle said, standing in the doorway. I glance at the clock and realise what the time was.
"Shit, I need to go!" I said, before darting out the room.

"So Noodle thought this was a date and got you all dressed up?" Murdoc chuckled.
"Pretty much. Even Blue Boy sat down to give me the talk."
"Oh fuck." he laughed, stopping at a red light.
"Well at least I get to show up at the concert with a pretty girl. Noodle did a good job."
"Hey, don't try your luck." I laughed.
"Oh trust me, I've learnt my lesson. Plus there'll be a ton of hot girls at the concert." he said, checking himself out at the rearview mirror.
"Typical Mu..." I was interrupted by a buzz coming from my pocket. I take out my phone to find a recently received message:

"Hve fun dnt stay out too L8 hope u enjoy the concrt. -2D"

"What are you smiling at?" Murdoc questioned, raising a brow at you.
"Nothing..." I said, my smile widening. "Just glad that Mondays aren't the only Blue days..."
