“I don’t care about your little fantasy life, you freak! You are right here, right now! Stop being such a child and grow up,” she hissed slamming the door behind her leaving me sitting on my floor, tears streaming down my cheeks.

“Don’t cry my darling. We are still here for you,” said Rose wrapping her ghostly arms around me.

“You promise? You won’t leave me alone like they did,” I cried.

“We promise. I’d beat them up, but I don’t have a body,” said Tom kneeling in front of me.

“Even if all of us can’t stay, one of us will always be with you,” said Luke resting his arms on Tom’s head. “We will never abandon you. We will protect you with our lives.”

“But you don’t have lives. You’re dead,” I said smiling a bit at my joke.

“Yes, but you have given us life. You gave us a reason to stay and a body to use. You do more than you need to make sure we are comfortable and happy,” said Jenny, “You put us before yourself.”

“It’s not like I care what happens to me. All I want is to be left alone with you guys. You are the only ones who care,” I sobbed, “Everyone else just says I’m a freak.”

“You’re not a freak. If anything else they are the freaks,” said Lilith, “Want me to make them leave you alone or buy you something?”

“I can help you loosen up and have some fun at a club, Tom can help you test out your new knife, Jenny could read you a book, and Luke can help you scare some kids,” said Rose, “Please don’t be sad. No one wants you to cry; we only want the best for you.”

“I know. It’s just so hard get through everyday when everyone in real life hates you and can cause you physical and emotional pain. I wish I could just live with you guys,” I said.

“There is one way you can be with us,” said Luke.

“It would take a lot of thought and courage though,” said Tom.

“You could commit suicide,” they all said.

“You are the only thing anchoring us to the real world so if you died then we would all go to the afterlife with you. We could live our own life with you and no one else would bother us,” said Jenny, “And most importantly we would be real there.”

“All I have to do is kill myself?” I asked, “No weird rituals or human sacrifices?”

“Nope,” said Lilith, “Though your body counts as a sacrifice.”

I didn’t even waste time replying to her as I raced over to my dresser and started tearing through my clothes. Finally my beloved knife was in my hand and slashing across my wrists before they could say anything.

“No! You fool, you should’ve thought about it more!” Exclaimed Luke his ghostly hands caressing my slit wrists, “There’s no ging back!”

“No; I know wh-hat I want. I wa-n-nt to be with y-yo-u. I can f-inall-y be rid of all this pain,” I stuttered, “I re-gret nothing.” That was the last words I said before my eyes closed, never to reopen in that world.

“------! You’re here!” Yelled Rose running at me as I opened my eyes. I was standing at the end of a driveway, facing Rose, Luke,Tom, Jenny, and Lilith. They all turned at Rose’s yell and grinned as they saw me before running towards me. I was knocked to the ground by the impact of their bodies and the air was filled with their joyful cries. For the first time in my whole life I was happy and I actually felt like I finally had a home.
