Unlikely Friends (A Cody Simpson FanFic)

Chapter 16- Movie night

     Cody and I rounded the corner into the kitchen. Brad's face was red with fury. I knew it must be bad because even Cody looked a little frightened. "Sit." he demanded. Cody and I didn't hesitate to, we jumped into the closet chair we could find. Brad took the remote and turned the kitchen TV on, it just so happened that Cody and I were on the news. "Explain this!" Brad spat, as a picture of me and Cody kissing in the ocean popped up on the screen. It wasn't just any picture though, it was I guess inappropriate considering I was 14 at the time and Cody 15.

     "It looks like my baby boy is kissing Sophie, Brad." Angie said as she walked into the room. She couldn't have picked a better moment to walk in. "Angie, look at that though, I mean really?!" Angie studied the picture. "I guess it is a little inappropriate since their only 15 and 14, but Brad, calm down. when I heard you screaming I thought I was gonna see a picture of Cody at a strip club or something like that. Or him smoking somethin or doin drugs. I was happy to only see that. No need to over react." Angie's voice was stern but soothing. Brad's face softened, realizing that he over reacted. "I'm sorry Cody and Sophia, I'm just not used to seeing my boy grown up."

"It's fine dad."

"Yeah, Brad, it's fine."

     "OK, you two can go now." Brad shooed us away. As we were walking up the steps Cody pointed out. "I was honestly scared, I have never seen him that mad before, I'm sorry, I really shouldn't have done that." I looked at him. "Yeah, I was scared too." I laughed. "Don't be sorry." then I smiled. I walked into my room.

      I gasped. "Alli!!!" I shrieked. I ran over and gave her a hug. She re-did my room while Cody and I were at the beach. "Your the best!" She smiled. "I know." we both laughed. "Sophia, I think your bed is More comfortable than mine." Cody said as he threw him-self onto it. We started laughing. "Too bad. It's MINE!" And I pointed to myself. "Might be mine soon." he muttered. I decided to pretend I didn't hear it.

     "Alli this is like legit A-MAZING!" I layed down on the white love seat in front of the flat screen. "Better than I could EVER do." I added as I flipped through the channels. "Thanks Babe, I knew exactly how I wanted to do it, for like, forever!" Alli laughed.

     "Don't I get any credit?" Cody asked with a pout. "What did YOU do?" I giggled. "Um, well, I'm the one that got you out of the house so she could do it all! I'm offended I don't get any credit." He fake cried. I finally chose to watch E! then I walked over to him. "Very true, I guess you DO deserve SOME credit......." I trailed off. "I guess I will have to deal with that." He smirked. "Well I'm leaving now!" before I could say anything Alli was already out the door and closed it. Cody and I busted out laughing.

     I layed down on my bed. "I can't believe I met you a month ago already. It feels like just yesterday my mom, dad, and I were on vacation in Ireland. I miss having a family." I had tears in my eyes. Cody layed next to me and pulled me closer to him and had me face him. "You will always have a family Angel, right here. My parents' love you like their own child. Please don't even say that again." Cody said softly. "OK." I barley whispered out and nodded. Tears started pouring out. Cody pulled me closer and I buried my face into his chest. "It's OK, just cry." he soothed me as he rubbed circles on my back.

     "Why?" I simply questioned Cody. "Why what?" I sniffled. "Why do you put up with me?" I asked him. "What do you mean?" He raised an eyebrow, "Like why do you put up with me? I'm an emotional mess, and with my dad's drama stuff, and I'm a frickin nobody and you a famous popstar! I just wan-" He kissed me. When he kisses me it feels like we are the only two people on the planet, very different than my ex. "That was a nice way of telling me to shut-up." I smiled as we pulled away. He just laughed at me, "Angel, I 'put up with you' because I love you. You are not an emotional mess, and I don't see how your dad's incident has anything to do with us, if anything, it bought us closer. And as for me being a 'popstar' as you would say and you being a 'nobody' don't ever think that your a nobody you mean everything to me, I don't think your a nobody! OK? Angel, you need to stop over thinking things." He lifted my head and kissed my forehead. "OK." I wrapped my arms around him and gave him a hug.
