Chapter 9- interrogation

I woke up in Cody's bed. I'm not sure why. I guess I just slept with him instead of going into my room. Cody wasn't here though. It wasn't late, 7:45am. I sat up as Cody walked in. I'm assuming he just got out of the shower because his hair was wet. "Good morning Beautiful!" Cody said. "Good mornin'" I mumbled. "You should start getting ready for the day, You have to go down to the station at 10:00." Cody said. "Oh yeah, forgot about that." I said getting out of his bed. I pecked his lips before I walked out of the room. I soooo don't wanna go down to the station and talk about my father more,

I thought. I walked into my room and threw on something of Alli's, and went into the bathroom and washed my face. Then put on eyeliner, mascara, and blush.

As I walked out of the bathroom I saw Tom. He was giggling and running down to his room. I laughed. As I walked down the steps I heard Toms friend whisper "She's pretty." "I know" Tom whispered back. I couldn't help but to blush.

"Ready? My moms gonna drop us off." Cody said as we walked out the door to the already started car. "Cody, you don't need to come with." I said to him. "I know I don't HAVE to but, I WANT to."Cody replied smiling. I nodded. We got into the car. Angie was sitting in the car. "Do you want me to stay and go in with you?" Angie asked me. "Thanks for offering but no thank you." I replied and gave her a grateful smile. "OK sweetie." she replied. We drove the rest of the ride in silence. I was squeezing Cody's hand because how how nervous I was. "OK we are here, Call me when your done." Angie said. Cody and I got out of the car.

I grabbed Cody's hand and didn't let go. We walked up the steps to the building and opened the door. I saw Officer Long. She waved us over. "Hello Sophia, we will talk to you right back here." She signaled for us to follow her. "Oh, no, Sophia we only want you, I'm sorry but Cody you will have to stay back here." Officer Long stated. "I'm not going back there unless Cody comes with me, you never said he couldn't be with me." I said.Cody let go of my hand. "Sophie, it's fine I will jus-" I cut Cody off. "No your coming back with me." I demanded. "Sophia, he can't come back with you, I'm sorry but he can't" Long told me. "OK, that's fine. I understand. Cody and I will just be on our way then." I said. I took Cody's hand in mine and walked towards the door, he followed. I knew that if I walked away they would call me back and let me take Cody with. I thought to myself happily. I had a grin on my face, a small one though.

"Fine......Sophia, Cody may come back with you." Officer Long said as I pushed the door open. I turned around, "OK, that's great!" I replied. I looked at Cody he had a smile on his face. I knew my plan would work. We followed Officer Long down a long hallway. I squeezed Cody's hand. He looked over at me and smiled. "OK, right through this door, Officer Reight is waiting for you." Officer Long said pointing towards a door. I nodded my head and Officer Long walked away.

Officer Reight's office was a small cozy room. It was a light brown color with a wooden floor. There was a desk, two chairs facing the front of the desk, and one in the back of the desk for him to sit in. His office wasn't my style but it still looked nice. "Hello Sophia." Officer Reight said. "Hello, this is Cody." I replied and introduced Cody. "I know who he is, my daughter is a fan." Officer Reight replied chuckling. Cody smiled one of his sexy smirks. It was hard not to laugh. "Please, Sit." Officer Reight told us. Cody and I both shook his hand, after we sat down. "OK, so, was there anyone besides your mothers ex-husband that would want to hurt your father?" Reight asked me. "No not at all. Everyone loved my father." He nodded as he took notes. I was super nervous. "Did your father go anywhere regularly?" Reight said. I thought for a second. "On Friday nights he would go out to the bar with his friends right after work,.......I never really thought of asking him who he went to the bar with though." I stated.

"O.K." Officer Reight told me. I looked at Cody sitting next to me, he was looking at something on his phone, it looked like he was creeping on twitter. I silently laughed to my-self. Cody looked up and smirked seeing that I had been watching him. Officer Reight was still looking sown writing things.

"Does your father have any family?" the Officer asked. "Yes, but they live out east, Pennsylvania? maybe?" I replied. "What made your father move from Pennsylvania to California?" I had to think about that, I wasn't positive why, "I think he met mom here in Cali, he was on vacation. I'm not positive if that is true though." I replied. "What are the names of your grand-parents?" Reight said looking at me. "I honestly have no clue, I never met them." I told him.

"Sophia, that is all we need to know for now, we will probably have you come back in later this week. Thank you for your time." Officer Reight said looking at me and Cody. Cody and I shook his hand and left.

"Wow we were there for only 45 minutes. Do you wanna walk to the mall and hang out?" Cody asked me. "Is the mall near?" I responded. "Yeah, about 5 minutes to walk to there from here, so you wanna go?" He asked again. "How will we bring the stuff home that we bought if we walked there? I wouldn't wanna carry bags home." I replied, adding the second part quickly. "Sophie, do you not wanna go to the mall?" He asked while walking over to me and put an arm around my shoulder. "................. I-I never said THAT." I stated. Cody sighed. Now I feel bad. I silently sighed. "Sophie, whats going on?" He asked. "It's just- Well Isn't- Wont your-" I couldn't find the right way to word it. "Won't your fans find it odd that you are dating a girl that just came from no where, that had no clue who you were?" I blurted out. He gave me a knowing look. We already had the conversation before. "Real fans won't care..." He trailed off. I sat there staring off into the distance for a few minutes "OK, lets go." I said.
