Chapter-3: DarkFire

Gideon's been deactivated but legends are still not aware if it, as they all were too busy examining the capsule they had recovered from zone-902.

"What is this, by the way?", Amaya asked curiously.
"You mean, 'who' is this!" Ray corrected her leaving everyone horrified

"You mean there's a human inside that capsule???", She asked in shock

"Affirmative", Ray replied, "and she's been like this inside this capsule, frozen, for more than a century now"

"That's barbaric!!!", Sara reacted

"I beg to deffer, though", said Rip while storming into the cabin suddenly- as usual, "no matter how savagely cruel it may sound, the lady in the capsule probably does not think the same"

"Think???", Sara said in disgust, "she is not in any state to 'think' at all! In case you didn't notice, she is dead frozen"

"Correction", Ray interrupted, "frozen, but bot dead! Her heart's still beating"

"Indeed", Rip approved

The current updates seemed even more disturbing to the team. A lady, kept frozen for more than a hundred years, buried inside a capsule, that too alive and yet it is being claimed that the act was not vicious! Rip must have lost his mind.

"Dr. Palmer", he said, "I am glad that you are examining the capsule so sincerely; however, merely examining its current condition is not the end of the task"

He then handed Ray with a blue file and said further, "this file contains her medical history. It will help you to learn who she is why was kept frozen and all other information you may need in order to revive her"

"Revive?", Ray asked

"Yes", replied Rip, "that is your next task. I wish you all the best Dr. Palmer. Please don't disappoint me. A lot of things are depending on yoir success"

From the medical file, they learned, her name was Heidi DarkFire. Captain DarkFire, as they call her. She was a time master once; a really brave one, a living Legend. And not just any self proclaimed Legend, she was a real Legend in true sense. In one of her missions she got almost 90% of her body damaged beyond repair. Therefore, the time masters were forced to turn her into a cyborg. Thus, even half of her brain was was formed with mechanical elements! The loss was beyond compensation but that did not stop her from serving the universe with her skills and bravery. In fact she used her extended body as her strength to improve her skills further. Unfortunately though, the days of happiness are always short-lived. DarkFire was no different. One day suddenly she realised, because of some sort of alien virus, which is currently known as Greerangeket-7, her body started to decay. The only available cure at that moment was keeping her body frozen for at least a century. Initially they thought there was no need for waiting 100 years for her to wake up. Instead they time jumped to the next century to revive her and bring her back to her owm timeline! But the plan did not work. everytime they time jumped, something terribly went wrong. It seemed like even the universe was engaged in a conspiracy to keep her frozen for hundreds of years!

One very interesting thing about DarkFire was that the mechanical part of her brain had a tiny chamber in it. They used to keep a memory chip in there in order to record each and every moment of her life. Later, before they'd place her inside that capsule, the chip removed from her brain and was inserted inside a robot with artificial intelligence. This was done to ensure, her essence may remain there with the time masters to guide them throughout their lives, until she finally wakes up.

Finally, after more than a century, today was the day to unfreez her. Rip had already handed the chip over to ray. It was only a matter of time when she would start talking, feeling lively again...
