"Study me as much as you like, you will not know me, for I differ in a hundred ways from what you see me to be."
-RumiAfter my whole crying session I went to bed and just laid there until I finally fell asleep, which was stupid. Now it's three in the morning and I am wide awake, I have been tossing and turning since I woke up. My pillow is still damp from crying from the nightmare I had, I hate nightmares.
I jerked my body up and grabbed my phone and headphones from the nightstand next to me. I pulled on some running leggings and a sports bra that was covered with a runners jacket. I slipped on matching tennis shoes and threw my hair up into a ponytail. Nothing could be solved just laying around, so my as well go for a run.
I ran down the stairs and out the door, Kami and Jordan were back at their houses by now I'm sure. I shut the front door quietly and put on a random playlist that seemed like it would get me in the running mood. Lucky for me, that's exactly what the playlist did. I began my run with a jog before full blown sprinting. I didn't know where I was going but the wind was hitting my face and it felt amazing. So amazing that I didn't notice that the streets were buzzing with cars. So amazing I didn't realize I was going the exact same direction of those cars.
By time I realized what was going on I was met at a gate with a bouncer signing people in. The girls were wearing warm clothes but a couple still managed to wear booty shorts and a bra. I never understood how that was even possible, like how are they not cold? I was about to go back when I saw Aiden getting out of a silver bugatti veyron. I was so mesmerized by the car I didn't notice Aiden studying me. When I did notice I turned around and took out my earbuds. I stopped my music and stuffed it all in my pocket as I walked up to the bouncer.
"Hey can I come watch the races?" I didn't know what to say but I was hoping that he would just let me in.
"Sweetie, of course you can. I am only here to watch out for cops," the guys voice was super deep. I nodded my head and walked right inside, which was surprisingly lit up well.
After you walk past the gate there are three bleachers pulled together facing a somewhat round track. Somewhat because the track had some sharp turns and some was hidden by trees, which was interesting. The three bleachers only had four rows so the bleachers were still hidden from the tall gate. Most people, however, were sitting on top of their cars which probably gave them a much better view. I sat down up at the top of the bleachers where it seemed everyone was avoiding and I looked out onto the track. There was a man wearing black who was screaming to place your bets with him.
I wounder how much money people are willing to place, I bet it has something to do with coming here a lot and have faith. I didn't really care I was only waiting for Aiden to walk through so I could walk out. I didn't want to see all of this and get arrested just for entertainment purposes. Plus I didn't want to see any car crashes that would permanently scar me for life.
"Hey are you related to Aiden?" A guy who was much taller and had a lot more muscles was studying me. He had messy blond hair and grey eyes he also had two friends with him. I should probably say no sense they look like they are looking for trouble.
"Ya, why?" My voice came out strong but I mentally slapped myself. I was supposed to say no not yes, ugh.
"Because you look like him and he made me lose a lot of money," the guy did a creepy smile.
"Well that sucks, I'm here to kick his ass too so you can just join right along," I sighed. I was about to get my ass handed to me, I may as well throw him under the buss too.
"Nah I think hurting you will do just fine," and with that he swung at me. With me being me and all I dodged his punch and bolted down the bleachers. When I reached the floor I felt my hoodie being grabbed and I was thrown, literally, to the floor.
