Ella's POV:
"Ella. Ella wake up"
I opened my eyes to see my mom sitting on my bed. "Huh?" I grabbed my phone and checked to time. 7:36am. "Mom it's so earlyyy" I complained. My mom gave me a confused look and then I remembered. I immediately sat up. "I'm flying to LA today!" I gave her a big hug and then we got up. When we walked downstairs I could smell bacon. Entering the kitchen, I saw my dad cooking and my brothers sitting with the Franzich's at the table. I sat with them and my dad began to serve the food. "Are you two excited?"
"I can't wait!"
"What time is your flight again?"
I looked at Jonah because I didn't know. "It's at 9:30"
"Oh goodness. You two better go soon. It's nearly 8!"
My mom looked upset so I went over and gave her a big hug. "I'm so happy for you but I'm going to miss you so much"
"I'm gonna miss you too mom"
"Do you need help bringing your bags down?" my dad asked. "No I should be fine." I smiled then went up and got my things. Once everything was downstairs we all said goodbye. Jonah and I got into the uber and waved while we were driving away. Its been about 10 minutes in the car and its dead silent. I don't mind though. I'm just trying to wrap my head around everything. I went from having no idea of what I wanted to do, to having the opportunity to travel the USA and preform alongside my cousins band. "Ella we're here" Jonah said breaking the silence, along with my train of thought. I looked out the window to see we were parked and the driver was waiting for me to get out. "You awake?" Jonah laughed. "I'm good" I smiled. I got out of the car and grabbed my bags from the trunk. We went into the airport and over to the check in and luggage drop off. Then we went through security. Everything went pretty quick and we still had 30 minutes until our flight was scheduled to board. "Lets grab some sandwiches and water from Tims for the flight" Jonah nodded in agreement. We walked to the Tim Hortons and got two chicken salad sandwiches, two chocolate chip muffins, and two bottles of water. An announcement for our flight said we were beginning to board, so we went to our terminal. "You excited?" Jonah asked me. "I'm SO excited! I've never been to LA before, and this could possibly be the biggest opportunity I've ever had for my singing!" Jonah smiled and gave me a hug. I fell asleep as soon as we sat down on the flight.
Jonah's POV:
Ella fell asleep right away. I had payed extra for wifi access on the flight, so I was able to text the guys.
TEXTS:
Jack- You guys board yet?
Jonah- Yep we're just taking off now. Ella is passed out already
Zach- She's your cousin right
Jonah- Yea
Corbyn- Cool bro
Daniel- How good is she
Jonah- Shes actually amazing. Guess it runs in the family lol
Jack- Don't flatter yourself buddy
Jonah- Haha thanks Jack. I'm gonna see if I can sleep. See you guys soon
I put my phone in my pocket and looked for a movie. I found that they had all the Harry Potter movies, so obviously I chose to watch as many as I could. I didn't last very long. I fell asleep after around 20 minutes of watching. We both woke up during landing. "Did you sleep the whole way?" I asked her, feeling groggy. "I woke up to use the bathroom but thats it."
LA was about a 6 and a half hour flight from Ottawa. Once we had officially landed and were able to get off the plane we grabbed our carry ons and went off to security check. Security was very quick and easy and from there we proceeded to luggage claim and stood around waiting for our bags.
Ellas POV:
We are in LA!! I'm so excited. We had just finished going through security and got uo to the luggage claim. "I see our bags coming" Jonah told me. We got them as they came. "I'll call an uber" "Ok" Jonah took out his phone and ordered an uber to come. We stood outside the pick up area of the airport. We saw the uber. It was a pretty small car. I just hoped our bags would fit in the trunk. The uber pulled over and the driver got out to help us with our bags. He opened the trunk and it was surprisingly big. Once we had everything in the trunk we all got in the car. The whole ride I was looking out the window imagining everything that could happen here. After around 30-40 minutes we got to the Why Don't We house.
