Chapter 6

Niall almost finished his second week of college in a dull, his days consisted in getting coffee in the mornings, going to class, getting something to eat before going to ballet and avoiding his dorm room as much as possible.

He barely talked to Liam in class because Zayn always occupied Niall's time telling him about his art and a bunch of stuff that kept Niall entertained , he spent time with Evan in the library doing homework and talking about their lives, he liked the guy they even agreed to go have lunch some time, before the exam week, so he spent almost two weeks without talking to Liam, so Niall was pretty sure that his first year of college would be exactly like that and it made him pretty sad because, Louis made friends so quickly that Niall was worried that he was going to lose his best friend and he would have no one to talk to, because of course Evan was cool but that was the only person that Niall could call a friend, he would count Zayn, but he just couldn't steal Liam's best friend like that.

So today was one of those days that Niall was feeling down, it wasn't like he had lots of friends in high school, but he hoped that I'd different in college, he was sure that if Liam was a bit nicer they would have been good friends.

He went to his last lecture of the day, the one he had with Liam and Zayn without his coffee and lunch, he kind of ditched lunch because he spent a few more minutes in the morning sulking and moping

"Hey Nialler, are you okay? You seem a bit off" Zayn greeted him when he made his way to their usual spot, Liam looked up from his phone when Zayn knowledge him

"Yeah 'm fine, homesick" he admitted

Zayn made a face at that like understanding and Niall saw a faint of a frown in Liam's face

Halfway through the lecture the professor asked them to work in pairs and Niall groaned, he barely talked to Zayn but he was sure that he would be paired up with Liam he got up trying to find someone to work with when Zayn spoke up

"Guys are you okay with working together? I was hoping I could work with Josh over there, since he's my roommate and I don't want him to be alone"

Niall winced expecting Liam to protest but he just let out an 'okay' leaving Niall dumbstruck gaping at him

So Niall sat back down still staring at Liam, the professor explained to them what they were supposed to do, a research for any war they wanted and in two weeks hand in a paper

"I'm sorry you're stuck with me, I'm kind of really bad in these kind of topics, maths is my thing" said Liam his face hanging low

"We'll have to work really hard then, don't worry, let's just choose something interesting to work on and we'll go from there"

Liam stared at him for a moment and then focused his eyes in his notebook

"I was thinking that maybe we could choose a war that has like tons of interesting facts for us to have fun making this, what do you think?" Niall said chewing his pencil a little

" I .. yeah .. that's alright.. maybe" Liam never stuttered a bit in his words that it was kind of cute; he frowned and then shook his head " No never mind"

"No, tell me your idea, because I got nothing" said Niall edging Liam to tell him his idea "C'mon"

"Well, last semester my Chem teacher talked about all the chemical weapons they made during the cold war, those were really amazing, he told us about how they were made to kill an entire population without any explosion and stuff, that was really awesome, they even did some environmental weapons, I guess we could do that.. you know, the Cold War, or not, It wasn't even a war, it's stupid" he said hanging his head low again, making him look adorable, because a man that buff with cheeks tainted pink and embarrassed was cute
