(A/N: Enter Amulet!Deadlox (〃 ̄ω ̄〃ゞ I'm also really bad at giving chapters names so they'll be name weirdly like that)
As I ate I thought of introducing my amulet to my friends, Mitch, Jerome, Jason and all. But first I wanted to show Seto what his potion had done. His potion was original and I was sure it was never made before, so it was probably a test.
As I washed the dishes, he put the chest back up on the shelf along with all the things he dropped. All the while I explained to him how he came to be and how we should visit Seto. He laughed a little at the fact he was an accident instead of being offended. I smiled at how he was a good sport as well.
Ready to leave, I stepped on a pressure plate to open the door. My amulet followed behind me and stopped to look up at the tall trees in awe, obviously new to the world. I walked slowly so he can take his time to look around and get to know Minecraftia. He chased a few ocelots here and there until we entered the desert biome, Seto's mansion and forest biome in sight, but pretty far away. My amulet poked a cactus and learned his lesson. He stared at cows so long that I had to stop walking and wait for him.
Entering the forest biome, I taught him how punching trees worked and eventually ended up on the tree tops, jumping from tree to tree. He though a 1 block distance was far until he jumped himself. He was so fascinated and giddy that he ran ahead and kept jumping, not even minding the 2 or 3 block gap. He even jumped onto the edge of Seto's window and found ways to climb up. He seemed to enjoy this a lot, so I planned to take him to a parkour map sometime.
I followed behind him as he went all the way up to the roof. He walked to the edge of the roof and looked at the view. While he did, I heard laughing under my feet. I jumped down to a window ledge and saw Seto with another budder colored guy. I knocked on the window and laughed at their surprised expression. I called my amulet over when Seto opened the window to us.
"Hey! This is Brice. I used the splash potion as a test on a butter ingot and here he is!" Seto introduced. Brice waved and smiled at me and my amulet."Budder!" I smiled and waved back. "And this is...oh wait..." I paused. I didn't really know the name of my amulet. "Uh, Tyler." He sputtered out quickly. "Ty! His name's Ty. He's my amulet." I introduced. Brice and Seto said their hellos.
Ty and Budder went to talk elsewhere as Seto and I did so as well.
"Man they're such babies..." I smiled as I glanced over to Ty's direction.
"They kinda are. They're like noobs, so we gotta teach them how Minecraftia works." Seto explained. "And they also gotta go experiment on their own. Build up their interests and personality. The more they build up themselves, the more their physical traits of the item they once were become more human. If anything, we'll be like parental influence. Oh Notch, how will Ty end up if he's following your lead." Seto snickered as I nudged him playfully.
"What do you think they're talking about since they're so new?"
Set shrugged. We gave each other that look where we have the same plan. He opened the door slightly and we both listened to their conversation in the hallway.
"For some reason, though I didn't have a pulse, I remember Jim mining me up then putting me in the furnace to become an ingot."
"And I remember just some repetitive things Adam would say, like 'Jason I'm startled', 'I hate squids', and 'butter'. One thing for sure he loved anything gold."
"I even remember him leaving me in a chest for a while. Seeing occasional short lasting light when he'd open the cover."
"Sometimes Adam showers with his glasses on"
"Jim talks to himself pretty loudly while he's brewing."
My loud laugh gave us away at the last part. They knew us pretty well. They looked over to us while Seto hastily closed the door. "Smart." His tone was sarcastic and light hearted. My laughed faded into a smiley "Not sorry."
Moments of silence later, we didn't hear anything in the hallways anymore. Opening the door again, we peeked out to see Brice drawing on the walls, but Ty was nowhere to be seen. Before I could ask where he was, I heard an aggravated "Dammit!" from Seto's library. While he curiously observed Brice, I looked into the library, seeing Ty climb up the bookshelves.
The library had 4 floors of spiraling stairs, each shelf 3 blocks high. The books were organized neatly and alphabetically. They varied in many colors between the oak shelves. A glow stone chandelier hung at the ceiling while torches were places between the shelves. The walls were checkered birch and spruce wood. The smell of the books' paper filled the room along with the calmness of being surrounded by books.
On top of it, he jumped from shelf to shelf, getting higher up to the second floor using stray boxes on top to make 4 block jumps. Although this wasn't even made for parkour, he found clever ways to keep on climbing up. I simply observed him, finding his immediate love for parkour cute.
I started to get a little nervous when he reached the third floor. He was so into it he might fall down a pretty long height. I looked up, worried and wincing each time he made a risky jump. Making it each time, I sighed out of relief. Maybe I should have a little more faith in him. He seems to know what he's doing. At least it wasn't ladder parkour above lava.
Reaching the very top of the fourth floor, I was a little confused on how he planned to go down. Instead of going back down, Ty jumped up to the chandelier, swinging it while climbing up the chain supporting it to another room above. Not even knowing about the room up there, I climbed up the stairs and did a little parkour myself to follow him up the chandelier.
The room was full of spiderwebs and abandoned, dusty books. It was dimly lit by one torch on the desk pushed to the wall. The rotting, rough desk looked like it could fall apart at any moment. It seemed to be there as unwanted more than a place to work on. Messed up books and untouched boxes stayed under layers of dust. The ceiling was low enough to make Ty and I crouch instead of stand.
What interested Ty was the Enderman head on the desk. It had green eyes that continued to glow, even in death. I watched him, not wanting to disrupt his curiosity. He picked it up, blowing the dust off the blocky top and...wore the head? I raised an eyebrow. I didn't know what he expected, or what he thought of to get the idea that he could wear the head.
To my surprised, the Enderman head split in half. All the black turned into moving liquid and bunched up around Ty's ears, the green eyes moving to the center of what is now headphones. The green continued to glow weakly. Looking at me, I noticed his visible eye turned red velvet.
"How did you even know about that?" I blinked, not believing what I saw. Enderman heads never do that. Yet again, Seto's mansion has sorcery all over it. Ty shrugged. "I honestly thought I could just wear it as a hat. But it was too big and covered my whole head." I laughed and shook my head as I took long jumps down, loosing some hearts on the way. Ty followed after, but used the stairs. I glared at him as he got down with full health. He gave me a smug grin and a "you're stupid" eye roll. He passed by me, strutting proudly as my gaze followed him, my brows still furrowed.
A smile crept upon my face. "Hey, Seto, Budder, we're leaving now!" I waved at them down the hall. They said their goodbyes as Ty jumped out the window ahead of me and onto another ledge.
"Not taking the stairs this time?" I chuckled. "Nah-" I pushed him off the ledge and watched him fall down in an almost sadistical manner. "DONT DO DIS" he yelled before hitting the ground too hard. Jumping down, my foot slipped and I fell down 15 blocks.
We both spawned in my room laughing and punching each other in playful anger. "WOW THAT WAS FAST ACTING KARMA." I laughed as Ty died again. He respawned right behind me and punched me till I died. This continued for a while until I finally mentioned the parkour map. He stopped hitting me, but was out of breath and laughing uncontrollably, hands on his knees. He hung his head as his long bangs covered his face, shoulders shaking from laughter.
He's a pretty cool guy.
