"You're playin', right?" Sky thought he was joking. Just something to get him all worried so he can laugh at how ridiculous he's being. It's just another joke...right? 'What am I thinking, of course it is. This is exactly how he wants me to feel and for old time's sake I'll let him get to me.' Sky thought.
"N...no...I, uh, need to meet up with someone." He sounded quiet and shy. Isn't he a good actor?
"Dude-"
"Look, I don't know you, okay? Please stop. It's creeping me out..." He scowled as he turned away from him and walked away. 'I don't know what kind of prank this is but it's worrying me a little too much than he'd usually like. Does he actually remember me? Or not? No, this is a joke...or am I only telling myself that...?' Sky's brows furrowed and he legitimately thought he didn't remember him anymore.
Sky stopped in his tracks, his fans following him confused and sympathetic. Some who didn't know what was going on still screamed for his name at the back. He didn't stop walking to rub back and hug him. He walked till he turned a corner and he was out of sight. Sky's heart felt like a heavy weight in his chest. He took another step, but the gravity was so strong and devastating he just wanted to give in easily and cry. A girl put her hand on his shoulder and mouthed, "Go to him."
He smiled and nodded at her. She smiled back and held back the crowd as Sky ran down the street, pardoning himself each time he smashed shoulders with someone. He turned the corner to see Ty quite distant, but not so far he couldn't catch up anymore. Sky's eyes lit up with hope, his feet pounding quickly on the gravel, but it slowed to a walk. He say Ty meet up with someone. Someone blue. Someone Sky saw as slimey, gross, and something that never shoud have been.
He reached for his hand and held it. Sky stopped in his tracks and hoped for Ty to figtht back. Say he didn't want anything to do with him. Say he wanted to go back to him. To Sky. But what Ty did broke Sky himself. He leaned in to the blue piece of shit's face and kissed his cheek softly. 'He kissed him before he even kisse me...' He thought depressingly. A voice behind Sky suprised him.
"Are you just gonna stop here?" It was the girl who held back the crowd. "Why stop?"
Sky thought for a moment, looking at her then back at the half disgusting couple walking away, fingers interlaced together. "I owe you." He smiled at her as her eyes lit up. "What's your name?"
"A-..." The girl paused. "Alyssa." She smiled a familiar smile. "I just want you to be happy with the one you want to be with the most. Get him, Ad- Sky."
Sky wasted no more time and sped through the almost empty alley, the "happy" couple getting closer and closer. He grabbed the squid by the shoulder and with all the strength he got in that arm, he smashed him against a nearby wall. He stood between him and Ty protectively, his head lowered but his eyes looking dangerously up. The squid did nothing but laugh. He laughed a laugh that made Sky's blood boil. He just wanted this bitch dead and begging on his knees for life and mercy. He wants to see him suffering and crying. He wants him to suffer like he made him with all those broken friendships and beer. It's only making it even.
"Ah, you made it earlier than I expected. Or, found out earlier." The stupid son of a bitch had a sadistic, taunting smile. Sky swung at him quickly, his head whipping to the side and his jaw momentarily out of place. "Wipe that damn smile off your face before I rip it off." Sky threatened in a low voice."W-what are you doing?! Stop-!" Ty reached out to stop Sky, like he did the first time he encountered the squid. "Ty." Sky glanced at him a look that says, 'you stupid idiot, I miss you. I'm doing this because I care about you.'. He looked back at the squid threateningly, scoffing as he saw Sky grip Ty's hand. "What're you gonna do?" his head rolled to the side. "Make him remember you?" He talked to Sky like a mother would talk to a child. "What are you talking about?" Ty glanced at the both of them with worry and confusion.
"Oh, nothing sweetheart. Crazy talk." He glanced at Sky with a smirk as he emphasized 'sweetheart'. "How fucking dare you call him that..." With his free hand, he pulled the squid by his hair and smashed his head against the rough brick wall, grinding it into the sharp texture in addition. "Wait, stop!" Ty gripped on to Sky's hand tighter and reached out to hold down his other arm. "I want an explanation. What do you mean remember?! Are you guys just gonna leave me out of this confused?! Who are you and how do you know me? Do I know you?" Ty said frantically, exchanging glances between the two of them. "Should be careful of what I say..." The squid rubbed the back of his head and looked at his hand to see blood heavily dripping down. Sky smashed his head even harder against the wall, holding his head high in dominance of who's winning the fight here. He paused, and looked at Ty. "Yes. You do. But this asshole-" He smashed him to the ground and stomped on his face, all while keeping Ty's hand tightly in his. "-killed you. Erased your memories."
"Baby, don't believe him-" Sky kicked his face, blood flying and splatting back on the ground. "-h-he's just some guy from the streets. How do you know what he's saying is true?" The squid reasoned. "How do I know your name? How do I know you talk to endermen? Why would he said 'Make him remember you' for no reason?" Sky turned to Ty and held both his hands. "I know you. Please, I know you. And you know me. Just...come back home...please. I miss you. I miss you so much..." His voice was soft and pleading. His hopes- hell, his life, depended on Ty's answer. "I took care of you..." The weak squid began. "I was there for you when you were lost and confused. Where was he? Was he really looking for you?"
Ty looked at neither of them. He kept his head down and did nothing but stand and breathe. "Ty..." Sky let go of one of his hands and tilted his face up to see Ty's eyes welling with tears. "He doesn't love you like I do. He did all this just so he can get back at me with our unfinished business. He's doing this because he hates me, he doesn't care about you. But I do-"
"Cut the bullshit." The squid was wiping blood on his sleeves, using the wall to support himself as he stood up. "Ty. Choose." His eyes were demanding and angry. "I..." Ty began. Behind the sunglasses, Sky's eyes glimmered with hope. Hope that Ty will choose the right choice.
And he did.
They left, their hands still held together, leaving the beat up and bruised squid to suffer on his own. Their quiet walk was filled with glances meeting stares and soft giggles of catching each other staring at one another.
"I don't remember you, and probably never will, but we can make new memories together again."
