Chapter 23 - Upcoming Meeting

Thanks to Akashi's flawless strategy, the door has finally been opened, and the group had once again made it outside.

"Ahh, finally~!" Takao exclaims as he stretches his arms and legs. It took the strength of three teenagers to break down the door with the help of his, Kasamatsu's, and Aomine's physique to be able to break the door at it's hinges.

"Now tell me where Tetsuya is" the red head demanded, and crossed his arms. He eyed the foreign group in a dangerous manner.

The statement just made the silver head sigh in exasperation.

"You'll just have to wait for your little princess because he has a lot of things that he has to do right now" Mayuzumi suddenly says, making everyone turn their heads towards him.

"And why is that?" The captain inquires with a raised brow, his patience slowly running down. He can't afford to just stand there and do nothing, not when they just experienced something life threatening for the first time in their lives. Add that to watching your lover suddenly jumping out the building with a ticking time bomb attached to him, the captain just couldn't help but be slightly overwhelmed in the current change of situation.

"Well for starters, he has to fix everything in this mess. The building's been damaged, as well as it's security devices, he has to check every employees in this building once again, just to make sure we won't have anymore traitors like the man you just saw inside the locker rooms"

The blond gasps in realization.

"You mean the guy that Kurokocchi has fought earlier?"

"Yes, that was Manami Shido. He had manage to breach our security system, but we had a trail leading to him, so we were also planning on disposing him today, if not..."

Gray eyes met the miracle's eyes.

"... for your sudden appearances" Mayuzumi continues.

A slight pang hits the group, and lowered their heads in guilt. They shouldn't have been here all along. But once they knew that one of their friends were inside a mall infiltrated with terrorists, they couldn't just sit back and watch.

They wouldn't regret ever coming there yesterday.

But all this problem would be solved if the miracles would just let the tealette continue on with his life, and them keeping it a secret.

"I-It's okay now, I-I guess..." Aomine says slowly, and began to scratch the back of his neck. "We would just be on our way and let Tetsu handle this without us being a burden. Oh, and we can keep a secret, so you don't have to worry about that"

The statement made Himuro and the rest widen their eyes at them, before their gazes fell on the floor, with the looks of sadness and sympathy were etched on their faces.

"W-what is it?" The tanned male imquires, quite surprised at their reactions.

They once again heard Mayuzumi sighs.

"But that's the thing..."

"Huh?"

Colorful eyes stared at the silver head with confusion.

"What I'm trying to say is that since Haizaki has taken a good look of your appearances, you have no choice bu-"

"-but to train and join us."

A foreign voice suddenly interjected.

The room was temporarily silent before gasps and yelps were heard from the large teenagers.

"Gyahh!" Kagami screams, as he accusingly pointed at the tealette beside him.

"K-Kuroko! You bastard! How long have you been here?!"
