Chapter 8: Beating heart

"I'm sorry if I told you this just now.. But there's one more things that i need to tell you and I couldn't bear to just keep this anymore.. Camila..  I am.. I'm in love with you and it's like I already had these feelings for you since the first day that I saw you. It became a lot stronger when i got to know you better. I know it's so fast but I can't control it Camila. I would if I could because I don't want to lose our friendship. I was supposed to tell you this at Normani's party and that was the time that I turned Jake down. I told him that i'm already in love with someone else. But after that, I saw you and Charles kissing and I got jealous.." Lauren said sincerely as she looked down. 

"Oh my god, did I just hear that right?! She.. Also has feelings for me?" Camila asked herself in astonishment. She got overwhelmed and stood there speechless. Then, she remembered Lauren said that she saw Charles and her kissing. Probably Lauren just saw them when Charles whispered to her but then assumed that they were actually kissing. She was still trying to sink everything in, but then she heard Lauren spoke again. 

"Camila, I really do love you and I know you're straight. That's why I'm not expecting you to say that you love me too, but please. Just say something." She said as a few tears started to run down onto her face.

Camila cautiously looked at Lauren as she saw her crying. She still looked so beautiful, even when she was crying. She stared straight into her eyes very lovingly as she gently wiped Lauren's tears away.

"Please don't cry Lauren.." Camila said in a soft voice as she let out a passionate smile. 

"You are maybe right, I was straight. But you made me feel things I've never felt before. These amazing, wonderful feelings that I always feel inside whenever you're near. I love you too Lauren, and I'm so glad that you also feel the same way for me." said Camila as she continued wiping the tears on Lauren's angelic face and then she slowly moved closer to Lauren until she felt a pair of soft lips on hers. 

Their lips touched for the very first time and it felt strange, yet so wonderful to her. Lauren sighed out of relief as their lips continued moving slowly together. 

It was a long breath-taking kiss. She loves how Lauren's soft lips tasted so sweet. But then, she slowly pulled away which made Lauren look sad, as if she was about to ask what's wrong.

Camila gently held Lauren's hands and then she just stared at her angelic face with full of affection. Until her own eyes started to get drench with her own tears. 

"Lauren.. I love you, I really love you but I don't think I can do this..." Camila muttered as she slowly let go of Lauren's hands and she abruptly run out before her tears started to flow, while Lauren was left so devastated.
