Chapter 9: In real life

Chapter 9

Lauren just cried and cried and kept thinking of their previous conversation after Camila had left. If someone asked her right know what she was feeling she probably wouldn't be able to put her thoughts into words. Camila told her she loved her but why the hell did she leave. 

Her mom came into her room and she sat next to her. Lauren and her mom are really close to each other. Her mom knows everything about her and her feelings for Camila. 

"She said.. she loves me mom but-" Her mom cut her off.

"Sssshh, it's alright sweetie. Just let it out I'm sure everything will be okay.." she said. After that she hugged Lauren and gently rubbed her back.

Camila slowly opened her eyes and felt her ankle hurt. She looked at her still swelling ankle, it somehow looked much better now than yesterday. It had helped that Lauren patter her ankle with a cold pack. Then, what exactly happened last night, flashed back  into her mind. She felt a couple of tears started to form on her eyes. She quickly wiped them away with her fingers before they continuously flowed onto her face. She told herself, after last night, she's not going to cry anymore. But she couldn't help to get sad whenever Lauren would cross her mind. 

Lauren walked inside the campus, her mind was a mess. She knows that each day of her school life will not be the same anymore after what happened between her and Camila. All she could think about was what she would do as soon as she sees Camila. Maybe she should just act as if nothing happened. 

Lauren kept on looking for Camila's vacant chair, there are only a few minutes left and Camila wasn't there. She could not help but to get worried. What if Camila didn't came to school today because of what happened last night.

After that class, Lauren went to the gym alone. She was so down, she's not used to not having the funny weird cute Camila around. 

"What's up?" 

Lauren jumped when she heard that, she turned around and saw Normani. 

"What's the matter?" Normani asked. 

"Nothing, I'm just not in the mood." Lauren replied. 

"Camila called me earlier, her ankle is still swelling." said Normani, when they got inside the gym. 

Lauren automatically looked at Normani.

"She called you? Is that the reason why she didn't come to school today?" Lauren asked.

"Yeah, she didn't tell you?!" replied Normani. 

Lauren didn't  answer, she just looked down on their way. 

"Anyway, are you going to visit her after the practice? I'm planning to visit her, we could just go together?" Normani asked as she smiled.
