Chapter 3: A different beat

Chapter 3

“So are you ready for the party tonight?” Lauren asked Camila while they were lying on her bed. Their classmate and co-teammate Normani had invited both of them on her party. Normani is also close to them. She’s also nice and sometimes she can be really be funny.

Her eyes opened on their free will, as soon as she smelled the scent of Lauren’s warm breath beneath her skin. Then, she saw Lauren sweetly smiling, with her head slightly leaned closer to her face. It’s really weird for her, but she’s really fascinated with the way she smiles and so with her angelic face. Her eyes unconsciously wandered on Lauren’s perfect pink lips and then in her enticing green eyes, as soon as their eyes met Camila automatically felt that same strange feeling once again which prompted her to anxiously look away as she quickly sat up.

She’s starting to get creepy with herself. It’s really odd for her to notice a girl like this, she had never looked at any girls this way before and she had never even felt this kind of strange feeling with anyone else.

“Hey, do I look that scary?” Lauren asked, slightly giggling.

“Uh.. Nah.. I just remembered I still need to do some stuff. Yeah right… I’ll just see you at the party.” She anxiously replied as she swiftly got off the bed and immediately walked outside while Lauren was left wondering what’s happening to her. She had been acting that way with the past few weeks and she also had a feeling that Camila’s avoiding her.

At the party, Camila looked very attractive wearing a black tank top matched with a pair of tight white jeans and a pair of heeld. She went to the table to get something to drink and then her eyes wandered as if they are searching.

After a while, her eyes suddenly lightened up as soon as they caught what they’re exactly looking for. Lauren was in a blue dress with a buckle, a pair of grey heels and she’s only wearing a very light makeup. Which just showed her natural beauty, she looked entirely gorgeous in her eyes.

Then, she noticed that Lauren is not alone. She’s talking to their classmate Jake. He is definitely good looking and she knew the fact that he has been courting Lauren for like, a month now and that makes her feel a bit jealous. Which is just one of the many things that had made her horribly confused since she started feeling strange lately.

She has been thinking a lot about all of the strange feelings that has been bothering her with the past few weeks and the weird thing is, she came up to realize that it’s like a part of her that really likes Lauren. It is as if, she’s even starting to like her, not only as a friend and that’s totally strange for her to feel that way for her, for the very obvious reason that they are both girls and that had made her question her sexuality which just terribly bothered her even more. It’s like, all of the sudden, things just unpredictably happened and her life had suddenly changed so fast within just a quick snap.
