Samantha was quiet as she watched the dragon through the small pond, surprised it was capable of such things, let alone being so powerful.
"It seems to become more powerful when angered, he even becomes less predictable even if he is careless." She spoke aloud, taking deep interest in the dragon.
"You're still scrying on that weird dragon?" Sapphire asked, looking into the pond.
"Of course, he's such a rare species. He's even able to talk at such an early evolutionary stage. His ambitions also interest me, even if it's narrow minded and near impossible." She said, her little bat wings fluttering in excitement.
"My gods. Here you go again with getting excited by something that can kill you. If you want to catch this thing then you better tell me first, we can't have the courts most valuable Magic user die." Sapphire said, turning to leave.
"He's going to be my familiar." Samantha said, surprising Sapphire.
"Isn't that risky?! What if he turns and kills you?!" Sapphire shouted.
"I'm willing to take that chance." Samantha said, standing up and mumbling a small spell before being sucked into the pond and disappearing.
"By the gods I hate it when she does these things!" Sapphire shouted, running into the castle.
••••••
I was calmly laying on my bear pelt and take a small nap when I was rudely interrupted by the demon fish loli.
"Orkiin we have a guest!!!" Mariana shouted as I walked out of the cave to see the witch from a few days ago.
"What do you want?" I asked, glaring at her.
"I want you to be my familiar." She stated blankly.
"I rather not. I despise humans, you lot are annoying and parasitic. You think you're above all else and damage the land the gods have made, maybe I should relieve the world of another pest." I said, glaring at her with flames building up in my throat.
"Actually I'm a witch, I'm not human in the slightest. But besides that if you become my familiar then you'll grow stronger at an accelerated rate." She hastily added, seeming to quickly place a ward spell on herself.
"Explain."
"A familiar and the one contractee who made the contract with the familiar are able to share their thoughts as they please. Thus also gaining experience from battle and sharing it, leveling twice as fast." The witch explained.
"Interesting. Can the familiar also have its own familiar during that time?" I asked, the flames having been suffocated since not long ago.
She quickly nodded in response.
"Mariana, become my familiar." I said, turning to her.
"What?! Now way!" She shouted, glaring at me.
"Wouldn't your father be proud if you came back stronger? Maybe he'd praise you." I said, watching as she slowly began to give in.
"Ma'am you can't! What would he do if he found it you were a lower beings familiar?!" The attendant shouted.
"But out of it Hefhah." Mariana said, glaring at him.
"So I take that as a yes?" I asked, smirking lightly.
"Yes, I will get power to make father proud and so that I may live up to my title." She said, looking determined.
"Not bad, looks like the future will be interesting." I said, watching as a teal aura came from around her and met my purple aura halfway as they seemed to flow through each other and cover us. I watched as the witches aura came and mingled with ours and they seemed to mix into a black aura that surrounded the three of us.
"Then it's done." The witch said, smiling brightly.
"Samantha!" A voice shouted, followed by a certain blue haired girl and multiple guards on horseback bursting through the tree line.
"Calm down Sapphire, we made a pact. He's my familiar now." She said.
"Hello pathetic humans." Mariana said, angering a few of the guards.
"Watch you're mouth you stupid b-"
"Watch your tongue vermin, you're not to mess with her." I said, holding the guard by the throat as the others surround me.
"Back down weakling, else you die."
"Try me princess ." I send back, glaring at her.
"<Crystal Blade>!!!" She shouted, trying to stab me in the side but failing as the sword shattered.
"What?!" The guards shouted, backing up in fear.
"It's useless, the void element nullifies all other magic. I'm constantly wrapped in it so most magic is useless against me unless it's highly advanced." I explained, giving a summary of what Zul told me.
"I can't believe a monster is the one of all things!" One of the guards shouted.
"It seems I have a living void catalyst as my familiar." Samantha said, smirking.
"This is going to be nothing but trouble." I growled, scratching my jaw.
"Please forgive me for I've said about you. I wish to be able to learn from you so that I may truly use all elements of magic." Sapphire said, bowing to me.
"Not possible, only a void being and those blessed by one can be given the right to wield void magic. Even then it's not worthy in the hands of a human." I stated moving toward my cave as I slowly changed into the form of a young drakenoid.
"You can transform?!" Mariana shouted.
"Yeah, but I figure that I would wait until I evolved again so I wouldn't be called shota dragon." I said, going over to the bear skin and slowly rolling it up.
"What are you doing?" Mariana asked.
"Gathering my things, I want to be comfortable when we move into the human city, I find their things disgusting unless it's shiny." I said, pushing the adventurer gear into a small portal.
"Hefhah, grab my things." Mariana ordered, getting a chuckled out of me.
"What's so funny?" Sapphire asked.
"The attendants name means idiot in dragon tongue." I said, watching as a few of the guards laughed.
"Can you teach me dragon language?" Samantha asked, looking at me with sparkling eyes.
"Gon wah groso daar." I said, letting out an annoyed huff as we started on our way.
