It's been a week since my 'declaration' of ascension and it was finally time for me to duel Aio. Now let's be honest, I'm gonna wipe the floor with him. I've gone and gained a mentor for one of my classes and have developed it to a satisfactory level and now have completed half of one of my dreams.

"Are you done sitting there or shall we commence our duel?" Aio asked, preparing his sword.

"Sorry, I was monologuing to catch-up the readers." I replied, pulling one foot back and bending my knees slightly as i pulled my right fist to my side and curled the fingers on my left hand and held it sideways in front of me.

"Begin!" The referee shouted, Aio immediately launching at me. I remained calm, closing my eyes and breathing in deep as me hands glowed a purplish-pink as my stance changed to give my surroundings an empty feeling. I opened my eyes and immediately stopped Aio's blade, deflecting it with my palm and tapping the chestplate of his armor lightly with my palm. Letting out my breathe, I suddenly blurred and appeared ten feet back.

"So you're a monk?" Aio asked, his complexion starting to pale a little.

"Correct. And you're quite the Paladin, my hand actually hurts a little." I replied, showing the shallow cut on my hand as it healed.

"To get a compliment from such a powerful dragon, I could die with more honor than any man in this world." Aio said, smirking lightly as he readied his sword once more as it glowed light golden-yellow.

"What a dangerous skill, but I apologize. I rather not face such a skill head on. Quivering-Palm: Empty Void." I watched my skill activate as he fell to one knee and held his chest in pain. "This is my own skill, after learning the Monk techniques I intertwined them with my own abilities and created a personal subclass."

"Interesting. I surrender." Aio said, chuckling lightly as his complexion started to return to normal.

'Level Up! You have reached the max level and are prepared to Evolve. Would you like to follow the Tyrant or the Hero Evolutionary line?'

'Tyrant.' I thought.

'Beginning Evolution!'

I suddenly started glowing, my entire body starting to distort as my bones started to break and crack. My height increased to at least seven feet as me hair fell down to the middle of my back. My tail lengthening to five feet long as my feet became more draconic as my hands became full claws. I seemed to gain more muscle mass as my skin seemed to be almost as hard as my scales at this point. I felt my face rearrange and summoned a mirror from a random portal. I lost all traces of baby face as my eyes seemed more sharp than before. My facial appearance was slightly above average in attractiveness. Noticeably I had scales around the entirety of my eyes. I was also able to notice my purplish aura gain some dark black streaks.

This time the EXP seemed to kick in enough for Mariana to evolve as well. She didn't go through much of a change appearance wise as she simply did the same as me and became a teenager. She did have a supernatural beauty though. She may just be mate potential...maybe.

"Why did you pick the Tyrant Path?! If you picked the Hero Path then you would've ascended faster!" Samantha said, seeming sad.

"Wrong. I would've grown weaker. The Tyrant Path holds more Evolution potential. Even when I become a demon lord I will follow the motto I've known since before I was reborn." I replied, looking serious.

"And what would that be?" Kireina asked, her kids wondering just the same.

"'Those who fall the furthest shall rise the highest. With this principle, those who subjugate themselves to all of hell and fight within themselves shall rise above the peak of mortality.' Or so the saying goes." I said, stretching lightly as a pair of leathery black wings sprung from my back.

"Where are you going? Lapis asked, looking confused.

"To gain a following." I replied, walking off as Mariana followed next to me. We exited the small arena where we were met with Hefhah and made our way towards the guild hall.

I ignored the looks of people, only shooting an occasional glare for those who dared to gaze lustfully at Mariana.

"What are we doing?" Hefhah asked, seeming to finally have calmed down and stopped being a coward around me.

"We're going to gain a name for ourselves as adventures by completing some difficult quest. After doing so we will take our funds and slowly start building up a clan." I replied, looking over the questboard to try and find something interesting.

"How about this? It would be easy for you since you're a dragon!" Mariana replied, pulling off a quest.

<Quest>

Kill or Pacify an Adolescent Fire Wyvern that has been going wild in the Northern Territory.

Money: 100 gold(dead)/50 gold and 20 silvers(alive)

Exp: Varies upon completion and party size

"Not bad, but why is it worth more dead and not alive?" Hefhah asked, looking confused.

"Easy. While a dragons corpse holds a lot of treasure when harvested, wyverns are similar as they are simply lesser dragons with little to no intelligence and no evolutionary potential that is known. They also don't last long after being tamed because they can't adapt like dragons can." I explained.

"Understood. Let's go turn this in at the receptionist." Mariana said, the three of us walking over to Kilyn. She was the female receptionist from last time who I found out over the past few days, was an elf as I had come here to talk with my mentor on occasion.

"How May I help you three?" Kilyn asked, seeming not to bother with questioning mine and Mariana's evolutions.

"We want the wyvern quest. I'd also like to sell some gear I had acquired not long ago." I said, opening a portal to show a bunch of adventurers gear that I had taken from dead adventures. Thankfully, I cleaned them beforehand.

"Ah Yes, please bring those to the back room while Janice approves the quests for your party." Kilyn said, gesturing toward a female beastkin who had the scent of a snow leopard.

"Sure." I replied, following her behind the counter and through a door while Mariana and Hefhah went over to Janice.

"Now where did you really get that gear?" Kilyn asked, putting her hands on her hips and pouting as she attempted to glare at me in an adorable fashion.

"Don't blame me, I killed them out of self defense. Plus, I gathered up info on the ones I've killed and I found some shady stuff they've been doing. I've also found evidence of others in the guild who have also done so and are still doing shady underground stuff." I said, throwing some papers on the table and sitting back in a chair with my feet propped up.

"Seriously?" Kilyn asked, going through the papers wide-eyed at some of the names. "Even an A-Class?!" She shouted.

"Don't worry, his gear is in there too. I killed him two days ago." I said, picking between my fangs with one of my claws.

"Where are the cards?" She asked.

I smirked, using my claws and slowly tearing a hole through the air to show an ominous purple and black portal.

"See for yourself."
