"You all do so much for me — always sacrificing so much just to support me. I promise, from now on, I'm going to do so much more for all of you."

"What are you doing?"
"Working."
"Tsunade said you should take it easy."
"Darling, sorting through some photos doesn't particularly require a lot of energy."
"Sakura—"
Just then the doorbell rang, saving her from any further argument.
She reached across her laptop for her coffee cup sitting on the table and smiled up at him. "You should probably get that," she said, bringing the cup to her lips.
The raven-haired man rolled his eyes, but complied.
A slightly smug smile on her face, Sakura turned her attention back to the pictures she had been looking through on her laptop. Her current project was for a couple that were expecting their first child — a maternity shoot.
A warm smile spread across her lips as she clicked from one photo to another. She couldn't help but admire the looks of utter and complete happiness on the faces of the parents-to-be. She'd always wanted one of these — photos that captured the beauty of motherhood, the shared sense of love and pride a child can bring out in parents, and the precious nature of a life being created. A longing sigh escaped her lips. She could only hope that she could somehow convince Sasuke to actually get his picture taken when the time came. She didn't need a whole album — just one or two photos would be more than enough — but the man seemed to have a rigid aversion to being in front of a camera since his early teens. It was actually bordering on ridiculous.
"Get out of my way, Sasuke!"
The pinkette looked to the living room door leading out to the hallway, shaking her head softly and laughing quietly to herself. She'd recognise that voice anywhere.
"No," she heard her fiancé answer. "She needs to rest."
"Move your ass before I put you to rest for good!"
Sakura stood from her place on the couch. "Better go break those two up before they finally do kill each other."
Sounds of a minor struggle carried into the living room as she walked towards the door, before the voice came again.
"Move dammit! Suigetsu! A little help here please?!"
"I'm not getting in the middle of this."
As she entered the hallway, the pink-haired woman caught sight of her two best friends since college — one of whom looked like she was about to strangle her fiancé.
"Karin," she called.
As her eyes fell to Sakura, her vicious expression morphed instantly to one of joy. "Sakura!"
The redhead took a step towards her best friend, but found an obstacle stretched out in front of her to block her path. She looked up at it's owner with narrowed eyes.
"Are you trying to lose an arm, Uchiha?"
Said Uchiha only raised an eyebrow in response, as if the idea of her actually having the ability to inflict any harm on him was little more than a bad joke.
"Sasuke," Sakura called, a note of pleading in her voice.
He sighed and moved out of the way to let Karin through. As soon as her path was clear, the redhead crossed the rest of the distance in seconds, and pulled Sakura into a tight hug.
