Ashley's POVGetting back from detention was harder than it looked, but we managed to get back unnoticed. I had so much fun during detention. It was like a movie, everything was perfect, it was our moment. Well until Logan checked the time and realized we had 10 minutes to get back to school before detention ended. But hey? We did it, didn't we.
I gave Logan a genuine smile, thanking him for giving me the time of my life. Without this boy who entered my life, I probably would've probably be an extreme anxiety mess. He came in and saved me, swooped in an changed my terrifying life into a wonderful, too good to be true, dream. Although, there were still many people who disliked me, I had grown more confident.Though something made me feel selfish. He probably had things going on in his life, and he's being super sweet and helpful to me, while I'm doing nothing but take the help. Now it's time for mission: Be there for Logan!
I don't recall him telling me about his life. So I guess I'll just ask him? I'm going to help him with this. Should I?
"Hey Logan, meet me after school at my house on Friday," I said, as an idea popped into my mind.
"K, but why?"He asked.
"It's a surprise,"I replied grinning at him. He pouted. Suddenly, the bell rang.
"Well looks like detention's over, see ya!" I said, slinging my backpack over my shoulder.
"I'm pretty sure you don't have a ride..."Logan said, getting up from the chair.
"Right...but neither do you! So let's both just walk home? If you live near here?"
"I do live close to here," Logan said. A couple minutes later, we were outside of the school. None of us were talking, it was silence, but a comfortable one. I started humming 'Good Times' by All time low. It was one of the best songs I've ever heard.
"So Logan, where did you live before you lived here?"
"I lived in Miami, Florida,"Logan said stiffly. I made eye contact with him, his beautiful blue-green eyes held pain, sorrow, anger, fear...and...is that love?
"Did you have any friends?"I asked carefully.
"Yup,"He said as his body went rigid. "I need to go, my house is here,"
"Oh, ok bye!"I said, but he was already walking away from me, not bothering to look back. I didn't get a response after I said 'bye', but I get why. He's to scared to open up to me, to anyone in fact, but I just need to know why.
And I intend to find out..
