"What did you say?"

Sasuke sat straight up as he glared at Sakura. "You can't file for a divorce."

"Then let go of your hate for Itachi," she said, choking. "But you can't, can you? Do it! Choose your vengeance for him over me. I thought you said you loved me! Cherished me! So why can't you ever trust me, huh?"

Sasuke hesitated. "I do trust you," he said after a few seconds. Sakura wiped her eyes. "Yeah? I don't think so," she said. "Let's see, shall we? From the beginning, you injected all sorts of drugs and medicine into my body, without my permission. Has it not come to you that I never wanted it in the first place? Maybe we could've solved everything right then and there!"

She was seething now, Sasuke speechless. "And then we fast forward a bit. We get married- but could you even call it marriage? You approached me the night before you proposed, 'do you still love me?' You didn't trust me then, too! You orchestrated everything from the preparations to the honeymoon. All I did was stand in a bride's gown with my frail body looking pretty!"

"And then recently. You drank with Naruto, too afraid to face me. You signed the sheet so that he could leave for who knows how long! Didn't even ask me! Naruto was one of my best friends," her voice cracked, "And you don't know how shocked I was when I heard that you sent him off like that, intoxicated or not!

"And don't get me started on this 'mission' too," she continued. "You decided to go without my permission. You keep thinking I can't handle myself. You always orchestrate whatever I do! And now, now, as I tell you a way to finally heal me for real, you shut me out because of an old grudge that's all fake! You can't file a divorce? Just watch me, Uchiha!"

Sasuke crossed his arms, his tongue finally back. "Even if you file one, I'm not going to sign it. I never will."

Sakura gave him a broken smile. "Then why don't you let go of your hate for Itachi?"

"Sakura! You don't know him like I do!" Sasuke pleaded. "Hear me out here! He destroyed my family. Kidnapped you. Did whatever to you. Erased your memories. And now he comes back to haunt me! How the hell do I let go of that?"

"Because," she said, "I'm telling you that's all fake! Itachi deliberately wanted you to feel all that so that you could kill him- it was all for your best interest, Sasuke! I don't know why he killed your family. But after that he must have felt terrible! He wanted to atone for his crimes by having you kill him, and then erasing any memory of him left of you!"

Sasuke had his eyes set. "No matter what you say, I'm going to keep on hating him. Forever and ever."

Sakura gave him a sad smile.

"Then you'll have to never see me again... forever and ever."

"N-Naruto?!"

The blonde grinned sheepishly before raising a hand, "Yo."

A sudden rush, then thwack went Tsunade's hand. "OW! WHAT THE HELL, GRANDMA!" The lady cracked her knuckles. "You have some explaining to do, young man. What of the Akatsuki?"

"Last time I checked, that was a question. I'll save the answer for questioning," said Naruto smugly. Tsunade grabbed his arm with an iron grip. "Funny. Let's go."

Moments later, Naruto stood in front of Tsunade.

As well as the entire manor.

"Uh, so..." He scratched his head. "I kinda broke out. It was super easy."

"Easy?!" Ino screeched. "The Akatsuki are one of the most feared organizations in the country! You better have a good excuse, punk!"

Naruto sighed. "It really was easy, alright? I kinda just... blew up their base and got rid of all of 'em in one blow. Thanks to Kurama." Tsunade leaned forward. "Interesting. So you mastered over him after all."

"He's not something to master, Grandma," he tch'ed. "He's something to care about and to understand. He's been nagging me for the entire time to just break out and I ended up doing it."

"Why would you just stay? Your firepower was a lot more amazing than we knew before," Shikamaru said. Naruto shrugged. "I just kinda slugged one, knocked out the other, then blew up the place. Easy."

"Easy," Tsunade snorted. "Well, that's good news. I'll tell the other group right away."

Naruto nodded, then frowned. "They're still not back yet?"

"No, we're back."

And for the second time, the servants had a huge shock. Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, Rin, and Guy all appeared in front of the door. Sasuke had a faint smile on his face. "Good to see you, Naruto. How've you been sticking out?"

"Hey-- you-- you can't do that!" Naruto yelled at him. "I was gonna be the one with the awesome entrance! You ruined it, teme!" Sasuke breezed past him as he whispered something in his ear in the passing.

"Not the time. Come upstairs."

He stood at the very front of the manor, everybody's eyes gaping at him, including Tsunade. "Who- what-" she sputtered, gaping at her master. "Both of you? Here? After months of abstinence! Both of you better have a good excuse for all this, Uchiha!" Sasuke gave her a cold glare- and she froze.

He hadn't had that look in his eyes for a long, long time. Five years, to be exact.

"Everyone, take the day off. I apologize for being absent for quite some time. I can promise you it will not happen again. Thank you."

Everybody left in murmurs and mutters.

"What did you do this time?"

Naruto sat on Sasuke's bed cross-legged as the Uchiha scowled at him. "What do you mean, what did I do?" Naruto pondered this. "Well, whenever you call me up in this gloomy-ass room, you've always got a problem you're whinin' about. So? What's so important you need your best friend to solve all this?"

Sasuke glared at him. "Sakura wants a divorce."

Naruto fell off of the bed.

He sat back up, spluttering. "What do you mean, she wants a divorce? You two were hitting it off fine!"

Sasuke scowled. "She wants a divorce because I won't stop hating Itachi. What kind of half-assed reason is--"

Naruto gave him a look. "Sasuke, you've changed."

"Changed how?"

He tapped his chin. "Well, before I left, you were all grumbly about how Sakura couldn't love you enough. You were totally whipped, too--" he dodged a flying pillow, "and now you're talking that Sakura gave a half-assed whatever? Dude, what's up?"

"Nothing's up. Forget it."

Naruto snorted as he got up. "If nothing's up then I don't understand why you called me up in the first place. All I've gotta say is, just play your cards right, Sasuke."

"Whatever."

Naruto gave him a strange look before opening the door. "And if you really can't let your hate for Itachi go," he mumbled just loud enough so that Sasuke could hear it, "then you've better gotten your divorce papers ready. Sakura means business, Sasuke- and you've gotta give her what she wants."

He closed the door.

What she wants...?

So, although this JUUUUUST might spoil the following chapters... would you like me to write smut in this story or leave it censored and to the imagination? And if yes, would you like it in a seperate book completely or in this one? Thanks!

Homework sucks ;;; I had ten assignments to do and I somehow managed to finish all of them within the night, but I'm brain-dead so that's that TT

Hope everyone's doing well at school! Thanks 👋🏻
