~Annie's POV ~

The MC continued calling the winners but this time for a different category. I do hope that I won't be called anymore. I slip my certificate onto my slingbag.

MC: Moving on to Science Writing. For the Fifth place in science writing: Rheshel Francis. Congratulations.
For the Fourth place in Science writing: Nicole Amber Black. Congratulations.
For the third place in Science writing: JK Smith. Congratulations.

JK Smith. 3rd huh? Well she's a... ummm... a friend I guess. Well she's pretty cold and a kind of a loner so I guess we get along. She climbed the stage and receive her certificate but unlike she didn't force a smile, well you can't really tell since her face is always hidden.

MC: For the second place in Science writing: Almanie Leonhardt. Congratulations.

What?! Again?! I was disappointed, I just played with my article and still won. I feel like someone deserves it better. Well I'm still safe since it was a second place, only first placers are allowed to join in the Division level. (District is just for elementary).

I walked down the stairs once more, climb the stage and redo what I did earlier, forced another smile. Then I saw the guy, the guy on the right flank staring up to me but now he's wearing a mocha-colored jacket. I avoid his gaze quickly so he wouldn't notice me looking his way for a brief moment. What's with his stare?

I went back straight to the STE building. That guy on the right flank could it be?, could he be...
the guy on my dream. Come to think of it he kinda resemble him but how? And why would he be in my dream. Tch. Why do I keep thinking about a guy who I don't even know. Cause maybe your girl side is finally awaking. What? No of course not! I got no interest in boys even girls so that's impossible. Yeah right. Unfortunately my mind stop arguing with me.

Unknown: You alright?

I almost jump when I heard a voice beside me. I turned and saw JK beside me. Ye-yeah of course why won't I be? Damn she's like a ghost. I didn't even notice her. She keep appearing and disappearing in thin air. She doesn't really have that much presence tho, I dunno why.

JK: Well you're looking to your left which means your reminiscing or thinking about something and with that tiny frown you have it means that you're stressing about something. Or who rather.

I can feel that she had a smirk across her face. Damn her for being so observant. And how did she even know that? I looked to my right to avoid eye contact. Am I that obvious?

JK: looking to the right to avoid eye contact and avoid the question eh? I know you're stressing about something so tell me. You furrowed your eyebrows sign that you're confused as well, right?

Damn it! I feel like she can see through my wall. How can she to this?! Is she reading my mind?! I'm so confused.

JK: I'm not reading your mind. And I can do this cause I'm a detective remember? It helps me when solving cases. I can tell this things just by reading your expressions. I can also tell right now that you wanna know how I can do this.

That just answered my question. Yeah. So-sorry I kinda forgot. I honestly said. Jeez! That's like the same level as mind reading. How can I forgot about her being a detective. She does it part time and by the looks of it she's good at it.
