~Annie's POV~

As I walk through the hallways I remember the first time I met JK. It was a crazy funny moment.
It was the first day of school. Fifteen minutes after our first period. Mr. Supldo (Soup-lah-doh :D) was discussing about Machines. It was really boring, I'm not even listening.

-flashback-

Mr. Supldo: What is a Machine?

*Door bursted open* Everyone looked at the door even me. A not-so-tall figure went in. It's a girl? She's wearing a blue jacket and a bit loose pants just enough and her face is hidden by her hood and hat.

Unknown Student: I'm sorry I'm late.

She said in a cold monotone. She's intimidating like she emits an invisible aura.

Mr. S: Take a seat. What's your name and why are you late?

US: *takes a seat somewhere in the last row* JK Smith Sir. I was called in the principal's office.

Mr. S: Causing trouble in your first day tsk. Anyway, define machine.

JK: A machine is anything that reduces human effort sir. ( monotone)

Everyone is confused in her answer but I can't say she's wrong neither right. I think Mr. Supldo is confused as well.

Mr. S: will you please elaborate?

JK: Anything that simplifies work or saves time is a machine. A warm day, press a button get a blast of air, fan...a machine. Speak to a friend miles away, telephone..a machine. Calculate millions in seconds, calculator..a machine. Actually we're surrounded by machines, like a pen's nib and a bag's zipper it's gonna go left its gonna go right in seconds. Left, right, left, right. (Left and right motion of the hand)

Almost everybody laugh but not me. She makes a point and made it way easier to understand in a simple way.

Mr. S: What is the definition?

JK: Sir I just gave it to you.

Mr. S: That's what you're gonna right in your exam? The machine is left, right, left. Stupid! Anybody else?

Jeana: Sir! *raises hand*

Mr. S: Yes?

Jeana: Machines are any combinations of bodies so connected that their relative motions are constrained by which means, force and motion may be transmitted and modified as a screw or its nut or lever arranged turn about a fulcrum, or a pulley about its pivot etc. especially, a construction, more or less complex consisting of combination of moving parts or simple mechanical elements as wheels, levers, cams etc.

Mr. S: Wonderful. Perfect, sit down.

JK: Sir I said the same thing in a simple language.

Mr. S: If you prefer simple language join the Art and Commerce class.

JK: But sir one must get the meaning too. What's the point of blindly cramming a bookish definition.

Mr. S: You think you're smarter than the book? Write textbook definition miss if you want to pass.

JK: But there are other books-

Mr. S: get out! ( Mr. Cut her off)

JK: Why?

Mr. S: in simple language, out!
