"You ready?" Tom asks, holding the pot in his hands.

"Ah, yeah, but where are you bringing the pot?" I ask.

"Just follow me. Put on your coat and shoes. And can you please grab my coat, too?" He asks as he opens the door.

I sigh, grabbing our coats and slipping on my shoes. He's crazy. Where is he taking the dinner? But instead of objecting, I decide to follow him. He goes into the elevator, presses a button, and asks me to hold the warm pot of food. There's someone else in the elevator, too. A woman. She must think we're weird. And insane. I take the pot and Tom pulls a tie from the pockets of his sweatpants. What the hell is he doing? Then he ties it around my head, covering my eyes. I groan lightly.

The woman gets off at the next stop. I think someone else gets on. Tom takes the pot back, so I decide to blindly put on my coat.

A few elevator stops later, Tom guides me off. Then there's a flight of stairs to climb. I struggle slightly, but Tom keeps a firm hand on my back the whole time. Then I feel a cold breeze hit my body. We're... Outside?

"Stay there," Tom tells me. I suddenly feel dizzy after he leaves my side. How far up are we on this building?

Then the tie is taken off, and I can see my surroundings. We're on the roof of the hotel. A patio-thing that was specifically made to go out on. And the dinner Tom made is sitting at a small, round table with a white tablecloth, silverware, and even a red rose in a vase in the center. White lights are strung out on the railings, giving the area a nice glow. Next to the table is a small open-top ice chest, which holds a bottle of wine.

"Oh my God..." I murmur.

"Is it alright? Do you like it?"

"I-I love it. No one's ever done anything like this for me before."

"Well you deserve it," he says, a gentle smile on his face. "Now come over to the balcony with me for a moment, please."

I do as he says, and we look over the railing. We're up really high... And the city looks beautiful from here.

"You owe me a kiss, you know."

"Huh?"

"Mhmm. This morning you told me the conditions to kiss you. I followed them."

He's right. The tall building, the nice dinner, our pajamas... "But there's no music," I say.

"Oh, right. I almost forgot." He pulls out his phone, and with the push of a button, pretty violin music starts to softly play.

Tom smiles, his blue eyes staring into my own. My heart skips a beat. i can't kiss him... Can I? My mind says no but my heart says yes. Surely my brain knows better, right? His hand gently cups my cheek, and his face moves closer to mine, only a few inches of air separating out foreheads from touching. His thumb absent-mindedly traces along my jawline. Then he softly bites his bottom lip, as if hesitating.

Does this boy know what he's doing to me? Oh, of course he does. He's doing it on purpose.

"May I?" He whispers.

I find myself lost in the vast sea-like blueness of his eyes. And I nod. I actually nod. And before I can correct myself, he gently kisses me.

I carefully rest my hands on his chest as we kiss. I can't think. I can barely move, even. Or do much of anything. If it weren't for being pressed against the railing by his body, I think I'd fall. Tom pulls away from our gentle kiss. It was the kiss of teenagers on their first date, both extremely nervous and inexperienced. We weren't inexperienced, nor were we teenagers, but that's how the kiss felt. Like it was my first. It had caused my entire body to erupt with butterflies. And, it was sort of nerve-racking.
