Widowmaker hit the dirt hard and slid on the roots of trees; tearing her back up. Her head pounded wildly, and her back was bloody and bruised. She pushed down the pain and stood up, grabbing her gun quickly. She lifted a hand to her visor, and felt that a part of it had been snapped off. Damn. She thought. Sombra came over the voice channel. "What the hell happened?!" she exclaimed. "Ana is still moving!" Widowmaker clicked the small piece in her ear: "I've been ambushed!" she replied. The sniper heard a loud zip from behind and saw a flash of bright, blue light. She spun around quickly, clicking the half of her visor that wasn't broken over her face. There was no denying who the red silhouette belonged to. Tracer...
"And just what do you think you're doin' here?" her British accent called as she zipped in front of Widowmaker. Enough wasting time. Widowmaker fired her rifle, but Tracer sped out of sight in a flash. The sniper fired in a circle around herself, trying to hit the annoying girl. "Get out of there, now!" Sombra yelled through the voice com. She used her grappling hook to move up to the building again. Tracer couldn't zip all the way up here... it would buy her a few seconds. "Sombra, I need evacuation immediately!" Widowmaker ordered. "On it." Sombra replied sharply. Alarms from the main building started to sound loudly. Another zip sound, and Tracer was on the roof with her. She fired her dual pistols, and blue bullets flew everywhere. Widowmaker flipped and spun out of the way onto the top of another building. She could see more red bodies line up by the entrance of the building. They knew she was here.... She flipped the gun into its sniper form and fired at the British girl several times. She was incredibly hard to hit. More bullets whizzed by; Tracer didn't have very good aim at all. Widowmaker jumped onto another building and rolled out of the way as another stream of bullets went by. She quickly placed a venom mine and dove to another rooftop before it went off. Tracer quickly followed and triggered it.
Purple mist exploded everywhere, clouding her sight from the target. The Overwatch agent stumbled and coughed uncontrollably. However, she learned her lesson last time that happened to her in London. She zipped forward again after Widowmaker, still sputtering and choking on the poisonous gas. Widow was perched behind a chimney, waiting for Tracer to emerge from the purple mist. When she saw the blue flash of light, she fired her sniper again... finally hitting her target.
She cried out in pain and fell onto the concrete roof. The assassin lowered her gun as she hit the ground before her. Tracer gripped her chest, near her glowing accelerator. It didn't take long before blood started to drip from her chest. The British girl sat up and tried to zip forward again, but tripped and fell onto her side. Tracer reached for her dual pistols but Widowmaker quickly kicked them away from her reach with her black, heeled boots.
"You don't know when to quit, do you?" The assassin asked her. Tracer looked up at the blue woman as a drop of blood formed at the corner of her lips. "Apparently not..." she replied heavily. The pain was intense, but she was not willing to give up. She used her elbow to steady herself and sat up, looking at the sniper staring down at her.
"I'll make this quick." Widowmaker said, as she looked through the scope of her gun. She gazed at Tracer's face through the red film and for once, she looked genuinely scared. "Widowmaker, no!" Sombra yelled over the voice com. The assassin scoffed at Sombra's order. "What-?!"
She heard loud whistling and felt a huge gust of wind blowing from behind her. The sniper turned around and squinted her golden eyes as a Talon ship started to land a few yards ahead of her. Tracer glanced up and looked away quickly as the bright lights of the ship blinded her. Widowmaker turned to her and smiled evilly before using her grappling hook to pull herself closer to the ship. She whisked forward, the wind blowing her long ponytail behind her; and she quickly boarded the ship.
Tracer growled out loud as she watched her escape. Widowmaker looked back at the injured Overwatch agent through the glass as the door started to close. She lay still, tears streaming from her eyes, forming a puddle in her goggles. She gripped her bloody chest, shaking heavily and finally collapsed. The sniper smiled and took a seat on the hovercraft. "Are you on board?" Sombra asked through the voice com. Widowmaker clicked the device to reply. "Oui." she said. She gripped the metal arm rests of the chair as she felt the plane begin to take off; bullets still firing at the outside of it. Maybe she wasn't able to kill Ana, but Tracer was surely done with.So sorry this is so rushed and bad, but I needed to update! Hope you enjoy, Chap. 4 coming soon!
