It had been three days since Lena was suspended. She wasn't allowed to train with the other members and she couldn't fight either. She spent her time walking alone in the park, listening to music and taking long walks at night to clear her mind. It was a cool, crisp night and she was walking down the sidewalk; slow music playing in her ear. With each day that passed, she thought about what would have happened if she had recalled and just taken down Widowmaker. Overwatch had already made it very clear they were going after her. She was their primary concern. Lena just felt lost... She wanted to help them and get Amélie back.
Lena opened up her phone and clicked to see her photo album. She opened one she had of her and Amélie together... before her skin turned blue and her eyes yellow... It was one of her favorite pictures of them together. They were both smiling and looked so happy. Lena had always admired her smile and perfect teeth. She sighed and turned off her phone and put it back in her jacket pocket. She looked up the winding street at the y'all buildings and passing cars, and took in the sight of the city. It was beautiful at night. She started to wonder why she never got out more...
Out of the blue, something caught Lena's eye: a black figure leaping from rooftop to rooftop. She cocked an eyebrow at the strange figure, and ducked into a back alley to follow it. The figure stopped and perched on an apartment flat and sat down. Lena squinted her eyes... was that... Widowmaker? The harder she looked the more she noticed the small details of her... like the long dark ponytail, the killer heels, and the glistening blue skin. What was she doing out here alone?
Lena backed further behind the wall she was hiding behind, when the sniper looked in her direction. She peeked out again after she looked back towards the sky. She looked so lonely and sad, so empty. Widowmaker just stared out at the sky. She wasn't killing people or anything, just watching as if she was waiting for something to happen. Lena wished she could reach out to her, but she didn't feel like getting another bullet in her today. No need to piss Jack and the doctors off even more. So she sat like a creepy stalker instead from behind a building.
She waited a few minutes before she hung her head down toward her dangling legs, grabbed her gun, and grappled away off into the night. Lena watched her disappear with confusion and curiosity...
She put her back on the wall and sighed. What was she doing?
