Chapter 8

So Sal parked in the car park and we both got out. As he was filming I decided to take a stroll on the beach and maybe watch from a far. We decided that he should tell the guys soon about us but for now it was just a little secret.
I sat on a little brown bench in the distance with my hat, scarf and gloves and my navy coat on me so I was wrapped up warm. I was staring at Sal... oh I mean my boyfriend!!!! I can't believe Sal Vulcano is my boyfriend!!!! They were taking a break so I debated wether to go over and say hi but thought that Sal might not like that. But before I had chance to act upon my decision, Murr was already walking over. Does he know? I thought to myself, I guess I'll find out!
"Hey Emily " he said.
"Hey Murr" I replied with a warm smile. He took a seat next to me and we were just talking about random things. The producer called everyone back to set.
"Where's Murr?" Q asked.
Then Joe replied
"Chatting up another girl". They all laughed until Q asked
"Where?". Joe pointed and Sal laughed until he turned around and saw it was me. He threw his mic on the floor and ran up to me.
"Wow" joe said with a surprised face.
"Why does Sal care that much?" Q questioned.
Joe and Q watched it all to see what happened.
"Hey Murr, we're ready, lets go ...... NOW!" Sal said to Murr, with a desperate look on his face.
"Ummm okay Sal. Can I get your number Emily?" Murr asked.
I felt so awkward right now. It was obvious that Sal hadn't told them... especially Murr we were dating yet. Sal pushed Murr away and stormed off. Murr then followed on, eager to know why he did that.
I felt awful! I think Sal might be mad at me although I hope not. It probably looked bad to him but I was ignoring Murr half of the time focusing on Sal. They were still preparing so I decided to ring Sal and see what he was like with me. Sal glanced at his phone and saw it was me and answered
"Babe- I'm so sorry I should've told them. I'm so glad your here! I will tell them after ok? I miss you so much "he said.
My heart ached. I was relieved he wasn't mad at me for this!
"I'm so glad your not mad at me babe" I replied.
My phone beeped as I saw I had an incoming call from my sister.
"I have to go Sal, can't wait to see you after, love you bye" I said regretting it straight away.
"Crap crap crap!! Why did I say that to him!!!!" My mind said
I had to forget about it and remember my sister was calling.
"Oh hey" I said in an unenthusiastic voice
"Hey" she replied.
" what do you want Julia?" I asked my sister (Julia)  
"Well I came over from the uk to visit you and well... your not here!" She said.
"Omg! I'm so happy!! I haven't seen you in ages. Right go to the cafe on chyme lane and I'll meet you there as soon as I can!" I said really excited.
We hung up the phone after saying goodbye when I learnt that Sal had left me a text

Sal: hey babe, just wondering if you wanted to change our date night tonight and go out with me and the boys to dinner and I could tell them about us? xxx

*2minutes later

Me: omg yea! I'll be there and my sister has come over from the UK and visited so could she come as well to meet you? Xxx

Sal: yes I can't wait! Gonna be a good night (hopefully) see you soon, ps I love you too😘

Me: 😘😘😘

After we finished texting I got a taxi and asked it to take me to the restaurant where I was meeting my sister. Every time I came into this restaurant (where I work) always put a massive smile on my face. It was where me and Sal first spoke to eachother! We have been dating for about a month and a bit and decided we needed to tell Brian, Joe and James. I should've told James a while ago as we were quite good friends, before me and Sal met! I hope he don't mind though.

Meanwhile, my sister was waiting in the restaurant with her blood red t shirt with her brown shirt Waveney hair balancing on her shoulders, blue jeans and black boots with a black cardigan.
My taxi pulled up outside the restaurant and I grabbed my bag and walked in. I turned to my right and there she was with a smile on her face.
"Ahhhhh" she screamed hugging me.
"I can't believe it's you Em. I haven't seen you in three years!!!" She added.
"I know Julia, I'm so glad your here!" I told her.
We spent a while talking about her then me with me not mentioning Sal yet.

"I miss Somerset" I said with my smile fading. I grew up in Somerset and it was my childhood home.
"I remember theatre summer nights when the sun was setting and we ran down to the beach and sat on the sand near the sea watching the sun fade away" I reminisced out loud.
"Aww yeah I always remember that" she replied.
I did miss Somerset a lot. So peaceful but windy at times but I loved living in New York as well, like living in a new life!
"How is Mum and Dad doing?" I asked her.

"Very well. Mums still working on the farm and dad is working with Mum now. His 62nd birthday is soon" she told me.

"Yes I remembered don't worry" I said with a little laugh. "What about you?" I began.
"What about me?" She replied confused.

"Boyfriend? Husband? Anyone?" I asked
"Not yet no"
I was quite shocked at this

"What about you Em?" She asked hoping for the attention to be removed.

"Well I have a boyfriend named Sal who I'm hoping you will meet tonight" I slipped in
"Aww yeah of course. I was actually wondering what time?"
As she said this my phone buzzed as I had a text

Sal: hey Em😜 I'll be ready at about 6pm and I'll pick you up xx

It was 5:30 already so I explained to Julia and rushed home.
Julia is going to be staying with me for a bit until she goes back home. Only for a week or two.

So I began to get ready!
