Without turning around, I felt a smile tug at the corner of my lips. I was just thinking that this strange dream that lasted 2 years was just that, a dream. And yet, the apparition of this familiar castle I helped to reconquer and this voice, smooth yet a bit raspy because of the long time it wasn't used, washed away all of my doubts.

" I thought you weren't a real person, just an illusion that my beaten up mind had made up to keep me company in my short life in the cells. I thought you would just go away after I took back the throne." The sudden touch of skin on my hands startled me and I glanced down to see two large ones covering mine." But when I saw him directing his attack on you and felt your warm blood on my hands, I couldn't let you disappear from my life just like that. I swore that I would see you again, even if it meant I had to use forbidden spells. However, I couldn't find you anywhere. I had almost lost hope. Until I saw a black haired girl flying in the air on a strange object. My excitation was so overwhelming that I lost control of my Griffon and he crashed into you. I am extremely sorry about this, and as a repayment, you can do anything you want with me or I wouldn't forgive myself for hurting you. " The hands gripped mine tighter and I gulped. Warmth enveloped my back and a soft breath caressed my left cheek. How did he even get this close without me noticing ?

The long speech left me goosebumps on my arms and I didn't know what to do. After being treated like a monster for all my life, I've never experienced anything like that.

I turned around to look at him when I found myself face to broad and naked chest. I raised my eyes and met those enchanting and profound violet orbs I've seen everyday for 2 years in the dream. His hair were a bit longer and he had gotten taller and broader but his demeanour was still tense, scared of another beating. A smirk curled his lips upward and those two eyes seemed to twinkle in the moonlight as my breath hitched at our proximity. His head bent down until it was the same height as mine, a breath away from a new experience.

That I didn't want.

I'm sure you would all want to read that he kissed me and we lost ourselves in an overwhelming passion, but it didn't happen like that.

Like any girl who didn't want to be kissed, I kneed him in the stomach and as he was bending over and groaning, I karate chopped a nerve at the back of his neck, making him unconscious. I stared at his chiseled face a few more seconds, my chest tightening and suffocating me.  He would be up in an hour so I didn't have much time.

I stepped over his body and returned in the room. The door was open and the entryway was empty. Tapestries and pictures of people I've never seen before hung on the wall beside the door as windows aligned the opposite one, long curtains the colour of blood circling them. Other doors aligned the corridor but the one I was looking from looked like to be the most expensive one. Intricate carvings of Griffons and Phoenixes depicted the war between the legendary beasts as the colour of the wood changed from black at the bottom to a clear white at the top. Bites and fire balls were exchanged as claws were sent into the flesh of both different animals. Feathers of white floated in the air until ones of fire would burn them down into ashes.

I went back on the balcony and dragged the ' Prince ' into the bed, groaning and lamenting about his weight on the way. I put him under the covers, his back toward the door, and left him there. I quietly stepped into the corridor, making sure that there was no one, before closing the door behind me and making my way towards one of the windows. I looked down and whistled at the height. I probably wouldn't survive that if I jumped.

Sky, you there ?

Yes, I'm resting in the forest beside the castle. Coming over to get you now.

Thanks. You know where I am.

Yes, Familiars have an instinct in them that tells them where their masters are.
