My Other Half

Chapter 5

Night's POV ( before they arrived in the other dimensions )

I couldn't find my Mommy. Where was she ?

I walked alone in the forest when I heard footsteps approaching me. I was scared so I hide behind a tree and peeked to see that they were two creatures before me that were walking on two paws. How do they do that ? I tried but fell with a thud. One of the creature heard me and before I can escape, it grabbed me with its front paws at my neck. He said something in a ugly language and began to shake while showing his teeth. A strange sound was coming from him. Is he mad ?

The two creatures began to walk with me still in its paw on the wet ground. The forest was silent with the darkness taking over the world.

Suddenly, I was that there was something in the other creature's hand. Something shiny ? The biped lifted it on the level of its eyes and showed its teeth one again.

Then, he approached the object toward me and I knew what it was.

It was a knife. The object that killed my father. I was scared and with my small voice, I howled.

" Whooooo ! "

The one that was holding me snapped something at me but I couldn't understand. It seemed like a bit what Mommy and Daddy would speak in their other form. Now that I think about it, my parents other form looked a bit like those creatures. I still can't change, maybe because I'm too young.

Suddenly, something fell from the tree above me and in the blink of an eye, the two creatures were on the ground with a red liquid getting bigger and bigger underneath them.Without the biped's grab, I fell on the ground.

When I lifted my head, I saw another creature but this one has a long blue fur like mine on its head, I think. It was smaller than the other ones. Its body was smaller too.

My mother explained to me some things about those creatures. I think she called them " Humanz ". She also told me how to tell if it is a male or female. As I was looking at it, I knew that it was a male. It's body didn't have the curves on the chest.

When I looked at its face, something switched in my head and I knew that she was going to be someone very important in my life. Why ? It's a male !!! His face was beautiful and feminine. He has  deep purple eyes that suddenly changed to blue. What ?!  I looked at his hair which were long and blue just a moment ago but were black now. I was confused and a little scared. He gathered his hair in a hat and hide them. Why ?

I was lying on the ground and when he lifted me gently and put me against his chest. I felt something on my paw and then I knew. It wasn't a male, it was a female !!! Why is she hiding herself ?

She took something from the ground. A case ?

Then she began to walk and climb with me cuddled against her chest. She walked a very long time. I was worried about her. Did she need to rest ?

Slowly and no longer worried about my Mommy, I fell asleep.

When I opened my eyes, I saw that I was in a cave with my saviour sleeping beside me. Her body was hot and it comforted  me to be near her. It was right, I thought. 

Suddenly, my wolf took control of our body and I rubbed myself against her hand as Mommy told me. I was hungry.

She awoke, her beautiful eyes looking at me as if she didn't know why I was there and understanding my needs, got out of the cave, leaving me alone and cold.

She returned with a bottle of milk, a few berries and water. I lipped the milk with joy and there were no more way too rapidly.
