Here is another amazing story from a wonderful person! RUQOYYAH is the beautiful name. We call her "Saka", her surname and nickname. Lolzzz
She is a very good friend of mine, we met at high school.
When I first joined the high school she attended at senior class, I met Saka among a group of girls. They were Big Girls. I mean, girls that rocked the school. From rich families, they dressed neatly and lavishly, expensive shoes and bags and clothing . They got all they want (or so I thought).
Feared and respected by other girls in the school, they were very influential and controlled so many people including BOYS!!!When I got to the school, I didn't care much about the girls as long as they didn't pass their boundary and disturb me. I used to have issues with rich spoilt people anyways.
However, the amazing thing about these girls was that they did very well academically, they were among the best in class despite their behaviour which I didn't find very good then.As time went by, one event lead to the other and we became friends.
Suddenly, we noticed some changes in our dear Saka! She was becoming more religious than all of us. She would admonish us when we wanted to enjoy ourselves in class -maybe by drumming, singing and dancing in class without taking into consideration that boys were also in class. Normally, I rarely contribute to this, but I would drum for those that wanted to dance if I felt inclined to join them. Saka would have joined other members of the class in catching fun but she just changed and would rather preach to us.
When her admonitions were becoming boring, we would shout at her and call her names like "Saka tunde" which means Saka has come again or Sarcasm. For we were students of literature and we found it funny to tag her with a figure of speech because she was always against most things we did in class.Saka would not show any sign of anger or rejection, she just continued to develop herself spiritually. She stopped dressing as she used to do before and she became more decent. She would go to every islamic programs she was invited to. I used to wonder what changed this girl.
Now, let's hear directly from the horse's mouth. Stay back and enjoy Saka's story!!!

Hijab Story...indeed the only guidance is Allah's guidance... Qur'an 6:71
The obligation to observe the correct hijab is one of the many obligations Allah has imposed on the believers, none of the obligations of Allah is to be taken with levity by the true believers of Islamic monotheism.
My journey to Islam, being a Muslim not just by name, began when I was 14 years old, I was in high school. One of my teachers had taken a special liking in me and took it upon himself to not only ensure that I have good grades but to also see that I become religiously inclined. He made sure I attended every religious program organized in the school or outside. All thanks to Allah, I had mates who were ready to help and I had seen them fulfilling their religious duties which made it easy for me to do the same, I began to observe a few of the daily prayers, read the Qur'an occasionally and read any Islamic literature that came my way. Particularly, the book titled Women In Islam introduced me to the beauty of hijab and my role as a Muslimah.
An outright turning point for me was when I experienced the death of my senior in school whom I'd seen an hour before her death, hale and hearty. I said to myself 'it could have been you'. By Allah, from that day, I promised myself to fulfill all my religious duty.
I began by wearing a type of covering that goes a little beyond the neck, afraid of what people would say. I must mention, I am not a type of girl that consults a lot of people before doing the things I want to do, so I had no issue explaining to my family why I wanted to cover, I just started covering. One of my brothers like it and encouraged me, his encouragement kept my head aloof without minding the reactions from my only sister and other brother.
The uproar from Dad only began when I had to seek his permission to register for a Madratha beside my school. He became angry saying that I already learnt to read the Qur'an, what more do I want? As a result, he picked on my constant wearing of hijab. Though angry, he listened while I explained to him and praised him on how well he's raised us. I didn't get to attend the madratha I wanted on that occasion but I got left alone to dress the way I like.
Almost immediately after high school, I started wearing socks. For freedom sake, I'd chosen a college far a way from home in a town where my brother who was supportive of my religious life stayed. Alhamdulilah, now I wear overall garment and hope to wear the Niqab one day
The hijab for me was not only a dress mode but a police who's standby and ready to punish me when I attempt to transgress, It changed my life.

That was really a cute and superb storyThis reminds me that no one must be looked down upon. Allah guides whom He wills to the right path and whoever Allah guides, none can mislead and whoever Allah doesn't guide, none can guide!
