I looked at Yanna crazy.
"Girl who you smackin, Brian get ya girl." I said eying her.
She laughed and waved me off, Brian doing the same.
We joked around for a moment before I glanced over seeing Marli sitting in the living room by herself. I hesitated for a moment before walking in.
"Why you in here by yaself?"
She shrugged peering over at me.
"I dunno, you guys were enjoying yourselves. Didn't wanna be a bother." She mumbled
"You mind?"
"No not at all." She replied scooting over to the other end of the couch.
I sat down next her but not too close.
"Aye I'm sorry about everything I said last night, I was drunk. I ain't mean none of it."
She sighed before nodding her head.
"It's alright, I've heard worse."
She looked over at me giving me a playful smile. I started examining her, despite all her bruises she was still beautiful. Her messy hair, her casual clothing, and her weary eyes still made her seem perfect.
"Stop staring at me like you've never seen a bruise." She spat folding her arms looking away from me.
"You know you cute when you mad."
I pulled her arms down and put my finger on her chin guiding her face towards mine. Her eyes were a deep yet beautiful brown color and I could see myself waking up to those orbs.
"You're creepy." She stated laughing knocking my hand down.
"Naw, but fareal though, I apologize babygirl. Dat wasn't me at all."
"It's alright slim, I forgive you."
"So I'm slim na? Girl I'm bigger then you."
Shit I may be slim but my dick ain't.
"Whatever slim I gotta go take my meds so hold on."
She tried standing up but pain took over her body. She groaned crouching over in pain sitting on the edge of the couch.
"Yo chill baby, I'll go get em where dey at?"
She shook her head.
"No it's alright I'll be-."
"Where's ya room I'll go get em."
She looked at me for a second then suddenly got struck by another wave of pain.
"Upstairs to the left."
I got up and ran upstairs making my way into her room. Her room was dope as hell, different but dope. Everything was literally black and gold, even the carpet was black with little specks of gold. Spotting a medicine bottle on the dresser I grabbed it and made my way downstairs. I jogged over to her handing her the pill bottle and grabbing my water.
"Here."
"I'm not drinking after you, I don't know where you mouth has been."
"Girl take this damn bottle."
She sighed rolling her eyes taking the bottle from me and taking her meds.
"Thanks slim."
"You're welcome Bob."
She side eyed me and I chuckled.
"Bob?" She questioned.
"Marli... Bob Marli."
