"So who dat la breezy ya brought up in here? I hope she an assistant, if so let me holla." My brother Travis boasted.

"Nigga chill out, that's my girl."

"Oh shit, ya finally stopped slangin dick huh yungin?"

"Yeah, whateva. When ya get a girl then come talk to me." I replied standing up.

"Where yo ass goin?"

"To find my lady nigga."

I started for the kitchen until I was ambushed by my nieces.

"Uncle Aug who's that lady? KayKay said she your girlfriend but I thought you didn't love these ho-"

"Noonie watch your mouth. Where is y'all getting this shit from. Y'all don't say that type of shit alright?"

"Yes sir." They said in unison.

"And yes Noonie she my girlfriend. Where she at?"

"Alright everybody y'all can come eat!" My mama called out from the kitchen.

I directed my nieces into the kitchen where I spotted Marli sitting next to my mama laughing and smiling. I'm glad she's enjoying herself. The fact that my mama like her is just another huge confirmation of Marli needin to be in my life. My mama ain't play when it came to me getting big in this industry. She hated the idea of women and other people flockin around me since I was startin to get well known along with new money flowin in. She ain't trust the muthafuckas around me and she for damn sure ain't trust these broads. So for my mama to be like this with her proves Marli somethin special. I ventured towards them pulling her out of her seat and sitting down so she could sit on my lap.

"Really? There was another seat." She stated giggling.

"And? I wanted this one. So how are the ladies of my life getting along?" I questioned wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Good but I should whoop yo ass for not bringing her here sooner."

"Dang mama it's like that?"

"Yeah it's like that. Y'all come on over next week. We goin to the aquarium. Mar I'll text you the details."

"Text? Glad to see y'all so acquainted."

They both laughed shaking their heads.

"Babe what do you want to eat?"

"Everything." I replied kissin her cheek as she laughed.

"Mama Shelia do you want anything?"

"Oh no baby I'm fine, you go on ahead."

She nodded proceeding towards the island full of food.

"That's a good woman you got there boy." My mama spoke looking over at Marli.

"Yeah I know ma."

"Don't fuck it up, I know how your big head ass can get."

I shook my head laughing as I watched Marli.

"Look at me."

As instructed I looked upon my mama's now serious face.

"I'm not playing August, don't mess this up." She warned.

"I won't mama. Ya know the day I met ha I had a dream about Mel that night. He told me not to pass this up. I ain't know what it meant till recently. It's just crazy cause no shit like that ever happened before. It was like a sign or some shit." I confessed.

"It was a sign indeed baby. Just remember her and that dream whenever you feel like you're about to mess up alright?"

"Yes ma'am."

Shortly after Marli came back with my plate along with hers.

"You sure you don't want anything?" She asked my mama before sitting down.

"Yes baby. I'll catch y'all in a minute, grandma starting up the dominos!" My mama boasted rushing out of her seat.

I laughed along with Marli at my mamas foolery. I took a moment to really take her in. Damn she's so beautiful. She's really everything a man looks for in a woman. I'll be damned if I do anything to fuck his up. Marli something special and something real and I refuse to let her go.
