Yang: Hey, (Y/N)! Great work yesterday!
You felt slight tap on your back as you were walking along the halls of Beacon. Turning around, you found Yang giving you a bright smile.
(Y/N): Good work on what?
Yang: You kidding me? For taking out that giant nevermore! The weaker grimm may be dying off but the tough ones are no joke!
You simply shrugged from her congratulatory gesture since you never thought it was big deal. Although she was giving you a certain look while slightly blushing.
Yang: Come on at least learn to take a compliment!
You simply laughed until the both of grew quiet for a brief moment. Next thing you knew, Yang suddenly approached closer with her smile turning into a smirk.
Yang: Listen, I've been wanting to tell you this for a while and I don't want to hold back any longer.
(Y/N): So wha- mph!
You were surprised when the blonde suddenly leaned in and pressed her lips against yours. It was a rather odd feeling at first but you eventually relaxed into the kiss and wrapped your arms around her waist.
You weren't exactly sure as to why you were happily returning the kiss to someone you weren't interested in. You admit that she was beautiful but you were a busy person taking quests for those who abandoned Beacon so you never found the time to find any love interests.
Perhaps you could use a break from your duties and Yang is the one to save you before you overwork yourself. The both of you separated and happily looked into each other's eyes.
Crash!!!!
The both of you were knocked away from your spot, although an unknown figure quickly jumped onto Yang. The sounds of her screams were heard as you tried to stand on your feet from the attack.
Your head was spinning as you looked around to search for Yang but she was nowhere to be found in the cloud of dust. You can clearly see fire through the clouds of dust while a large hole in two walls within the hall. You were able to make out a small trail of blood through the smoke and followed it to find a room that was destroyed.
However, what took your attention was a hooded figure pinning a beaten Yang against the ground. The figure removed her mechanic arm and it was lit up in black flames, leaving nothing behind.
(Y/N): Get your hands off of her!
You activated your semblance to coat your arm in a destructive flame and charged forward. The figure in black and robes looked directly at you, the feminine face was as clear as day until she blasted you back with a dark force.
Yang:(Y-Y/N)...
You crashed against the wall and fell to the floor. A sword coated in black flames was then impaled directly in your chest, pinning you against the wall.
You watched in immense pain as the figure returned her attention to Yang and knelt beside the defeated blonde. The stranger gently lifted her up and held her slightly above the ground with one arm while the other prepared for an attack.
(Y/N): LET HER GO!
Your eyes began to shed tears as you tried to free yourself from the burning sword. Although, you noticed that Yang weakly held out her arm towards you. You've done the same while continuing to remove the blade but it was no use.
(Y/N): No! PLEASE STOP!!!!
Black feathered wings suddenly emerged from the person's back as a vile aura radiates from her as Beacon itself began to shake and slowly crumble. The stranger's hand aimed itself towards Yang's heart and quickly shot forward.
(Y/N): YYAAAANG!!!!!
Flashback End
Your eyes shot open as the dreadful memory suddenly returned. A tear streamed from your eye as it replayed in your head one last time.
You closed your eyes for a quick second and reopened to find that you were still in the castle bedroom. The night sky began to slowly change color as the sun began to rise.
Although you realized that you were sleeping in the same bed as Corona while holding her close. So, you slowly removed your arm and crawled out of the bed.
You sighed in relief hoping that she wouldn't be angry when she awakened.
A small box fell from your coat pocket although you caught it in time. You then noticed that it was the same box that Corona had given you.
You took the chance to open the box and find a golden pocket watch with an engraving of a single feathered wing. Next to the wing was another engraving with a small quote that said "I shall fear no evil".
You opened the lid to find the watch itself and under the lid was a small photo of the High Priestess herself. There was a small slip of paper beneath the photo so you retrieved it to find a note.
Corona: *within the note* I know you plan on leaving soon to look for anyone. So I want you to take this on your journey, it belonged to my father. Before you leave, please know that I hold feelings for you. If you accept my feelings then I can only hope that you return to me. If not, then I wish you a safe journey. At least come see me one last time before you leave.
You looked up from the note to find Corona, still sound asleep on the bed. The fact that she also holds feelings for you made you feel glad. Then the thought of Yang's confession made you fear for Corona's life.
Your hands shook since you were afraid that there may be a repeat of a scene during The Second Fall of Beacon. You quickly shook your head as you pocketed the watch and note.
Taking one last look at the slumbering woman, one final thought began to repeat itself in your head as the fear was driven away.
(Y/N): *whisper* I'm not going to lose you too.
To be continued...
