Part 7

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The loud knocking startled you as the sun completely rose. Corona awoke from her slumber as well since the knocking startled her as well.

You decided to investigate by opening the door bur there was nobody to be found. You simply closed the door and took a seat on the bed.

(Y/N): Guess someone's trying to scare us.

Corona remained silence since she wasn't thinking about the knocking. She thought about the moment before she fell asleep. The priestess also began to notice that you were stressed about something that must have happened in your sleep. So she decided to the initiative and move closer to you, she then wrapped her arms around you from behind.

You were caught by surprise as you suddenly felt her gentle embrace.

(Y/N): C-corona?

Corona: I may not know what's eating you away.... If we want to get through this then please keep it together.

You eventually calmed yourself from the warm embrace, although you were lightly blushing since she was this close to you.

(Y/N): Right... Thank you...

Whatever stress or fear you had were gone as woman continued to hold you.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

You sighed as you stood up the answer the door once again, except a small chest stood between you and the exit. You carefully approached the container since it was never there in the first place.

Corona: Wait!

You ignored her warning since you were already slowly opening the chest. Once it was open, you found a staff sitting inside of the chest. You took the staff and examined it find the same designs as Corona's catalyst.

Corona: My staff!

You handed it to her and the priestess immediately began to heal her ankle.

(Y/N): ... I don't like the looks of this...

You then retrieved a wooden case from within the chest and opened it to find your weapons. Your handgun was fully loaded along with a few spare magazines and your dagger was sitting right beside the fire arm.

(Y/N): Whoever or whatever brought us doesn't want to leave without a fight.

She knew that it was true since they were simply given their belongings without any trouble. Violence was the last thing on her mind in escaping the castle but the priestess knows that there may not be any other choice.

Corona: Okay... Let's keep moving.

You nodded as the both of you exited the room and began walking towards a different direction. After what seemed to be an eternity of traversing through a maze, the two of you have arrived at a set of large double doors.

Corona: I can feel a powerful darkness behind that door. Strange, at this level you'd think it'd be pure evil but...

(Y/N): But what?

Corona: Its as if someone is calling for help....

The both of you stood silent until you decided to turn to the priestess.

(Y/N): Listen, there's something I want to tell you before we head in there.

Corona: What is it?

(Y/N): I read your note.

The sun haired girl was confused by your words until she remembered about her gift and lightly blushed.

(Y/N): I just wanted to say yes, I accept your feelings because I've also felt the same way about you.

Corona: D-do you really meant it?

You simply approached and brought her into a warm hug which she happily returned. The two of you remained in the embrace until you separated to look onto her orange eyes. You then leaned forward and pressed your lips against hers. Corona gladly kissed back as she kept her arms wrapped around you.

After a short moment, the both of you separated from the kiss.

(Y/N): That answer your question?

Corona: Of course.

You smiled before turning attention at the giant double doors.

(Y/N): Right... Let's get this over with so we can get out of here.
