Everyone sprinted as fast as they could up the stairs, because they had stayed stationary for far too long. And no one in the group wanted to end up like Jenny. They didn't even know what had happened to her! One second she was there, and the next she was gone. Poof. Zip. Nada. No sign or trace left of her.
The staircase seemed to go on forever as it spiralled up and up and up and up. Now, the human body can only go so long while sprinting up a spiral staircase, even if they have adrenaline pumping through their veins. This is exactly what happens to the remaining people of the group. They caught an infamous disease that almost nothing can cure. Tiredness.
So as the group gradually slowed down, huffing and puffing, they simply could not go on. As though as one, the group collapsed on the stairs, catching their breath.
"So- tired. How- we make it?" Naomi gasped out, clutching her side from a stitch.
"We could just stay here for a minute..." Sam said, not out of breath but still tired.
They glanced down the stairs, barely able to see the bottom. Through their sweat, they feel a cold tingle run down their spine, as though being touched by millions of cold fingers.
"Umm... How about we just walk up the stairs?" Alyss suggested. The others nodded in agreement because they did not want to stay put, but they also didn't want to run.
In the end, their slow paced walk turned into more of a speeding-walk as they got more anxious.
Just when they got to the top and almost made it into another room, Naomi felt an odd pressure push against her foot.
Ka-ching!
Naomi had sprung a tripwire and everyone instinctively ducked for cover, but Charlie was too slow as an axe swung towards her.
Her head fell off her body and rolled down the stairs.
The remaining friends gaped in awe at the now decapitated body. It had stayed standing for a second, as though in confusion for what had happened.
No one wanted to see what a decapitated head or body, so they quickly averted their eyes and began to run down random hallway and out of sight. They knew that they had been scarred for life as they wore their horrified expressions like one sane person would wear a jumper. The horror came easily now, and that was the sad thing.

Duh duh dun! We're nearing the end now! There are only three of the nine friends left now (Naomi, Alyss, Sam), which means that there is just three chapters and one epilogue left in this short and random collections of stories! So thanks to all who have voted (Shifra_rephaque and AwkwardWeirdo), and get prepared for more updates on this soon!
