Chapter three

"So for the next project, you'll be doing this with your partner."

Loud sighs left students' lips as they spread their arms on their desks. Some of them looked at their friends hoping to pair up with them while others let out an irritating sighs. Jaehwan looked at Meera with a big smile on his face and two thumbs up but his smile didn't last long when Seungwoo glared at him, warning him to stay away from her.

"Pfft." As if Meera will partner up with him. Jaehwan thought.

"I have decided on the partners to make a balanced team. Also partners will not be changed under any circumstances."

"Neh." Students half heartedly agreed to their teacher.

When Seungwoo was not looking at Meera, she slowly turned her head to look at Daniel. She immediately snapped her neck to the front when she saw Daniel already staring at her. It was a first for her. She again moved her head to check if he was still looking at her. And he was. But this time she didn't look away.

They both stared into each others eyes. Time stopped for Meera when Daniel slowly traced his lower lip with his tongue. It was a swift movement but she couldn't take her eyes off him and his lips. She unconciously bit her lower lip as heat rose through her chest. Daniel's eyes shifted to her lips when she bit them. He moved his gaze to her round eyes. For him, innocence is reflected in those round orbs. But her actions state otherwise.

"Miss Suri and Mr Kang? If you are done looking at each other, kindly pay attention to the class."

Daniel immediately looked ahead at his teacher while Meera was still in her own world. Seungwoo narrowed his eyes at Daniel and then at Meera. She was still looking at Daniel which angered Seungwoo.

"Miss Suri?"

"Y-yes?" She slowly looked at her teacher and found all eyes on her. She hung her head low and fiddled with her fingers out of embarressment. Daniel smirked seeing her like this. He wanted to stay away from her but can't. He liked seeing her all flustered like this. His one gaze and she was already away from reality.

"Miss Suri is partnered up with Kim Taedong." Meera just bowed and sat on her seat. Taedong turned around to look at his partner and winked at her. Seungwoo saw all this. He already planned to kill Taedong in his mind when he saw he wink at 'his girl'. Meera ignored his wink and went back to the lesson she was supposed to revise.

Daniel too curled his fingers into tight fists as he glared at Taedong.

The teacher announced groups but when she mentioned Daniel, Meera expectantly looked at her teacher. She didn't want some other girl to be paired up with him.

"Kang Daniel and Jeon Somi."

Meera's heart shattered into millions of pieces. Jeon Somi is one of the beauties of their class and Daniel is paired with her. How worse can her life be?

"Miss!" Somi stood up, gaining everyone's attention.

"Yes Ms Jeon?"

"I don't want to partner up with that loser at the back. I'm okay with anyone but him." She disgustedly looked at Daniel and turned back to look at her teacher with puppy eyes.

"No Miss Jeon. And mind your language. He is your classmate."

"But no one wants to partner up with him! Why do I have to suffer?!" Somi got all mad and let out her anger. She didn't want a trouble sticking next to her.
