Nathaen pov.

"WAKE UP LAZY BUM!" I jumped up and looked around to see what was going on. Apparently the corner I had chosen had a guy with green hair laying down and a girl with orange hair standing up over the guy. He got up and started to do what I would guess is his normal routine while the orange haired one bugged him. "IT'S MORNING, IT'S MORNING, IT'S MORNING!"  She sang.

"Really?" I sighed as I got up and rolled my mat up and walked to my locker. I could hear the orange haired girl still going off in him. "Wow she is loud." I pulled out my phone and called dad.

"Hello?" Asked a gruff voice.

"Hey dad it's me." I said chuckling.

"My son how are you?" He asked cheerfully with his voice booming out of the phone waking up some students.

"I'm fine dad. Beacons great so far and guess what." I said happy to hear him.

"what is it my child?" I just loved how he talked.

"You know doctor Zeigler right?" I asked.

"of course. She is my most trusted friend. Why?" He asked amused.

"Well her daughter is here at beacon. She apparently inherited her mom's armor and weapons." I heard his booming laugh.

"Ah I knew she would be there. You may be a shield son but even shields need to be repaired." I smiled and saw Angela walking over. "And don't be afraid to talk to her. If she's anything like her mother she will be amazing." This made me blush.

"DAD!" I laughed. "Bye dad have to go. Almost time for initiation. I love you and tell mom I said hi again."

"Good bye my son. I love you too." With that he hung up just as Angela got over she was already changed into her armor. She was holding her staff and pistol loosely. "You look good." I compliment. She looked down blushing.

"Oh stop." She smiled. "I mean look at you. Your hot." She stated. I chuckled.

"Thanks. Let me go change into my armor and we can continue talking." She nodded and walked off. I smiled watching her when a boy grabbed her butt from out of nowhere. I got angry until I saw her wip her staff around smacking his face with it. I started laughing and went to go get changed.

"OH I KNOW WE'LL HAVE SOME SORTA SIGNAL! THAT WAY WE CAN FIND ONE ANOTHER!" I sighed as I walked past. "Can you imitate a sloth?"

"Nora I don't think sloths make sound." The boy in green replied to the energetic girl. I went in my marry way ignoring them and got into my locker. I changed in a few minutes and overheard some conversation. I turned a corner to see ruby and yang talking.

"So you seem awfully chipper this morning." Yang said facing away from me.

"No more small talk and getting to know you stuff." I nodded in agreement. "I get to let my baby do the talking." She then started to rub her sythe.

"well remember ruby. You're not the only one going through initiation." I said startling her.

"Correct Nathen. Ruby you have to grow up and meet new people and learn to work together." Yang said finishing her statement.

"I'll be going now to let you 2 have some family time." I turned starting to leave when Jaune came flying past me and got stuck in the wall. "Woah you okay?" I asked helping him down.

"My dad said women love confidence. Why is it not working?" He asked.

"Because sometimes in the face of courage, some are to scared to face it. Or they are ice cold." I said nodding my head over to weiss.

"Will all 1st years please report to the cliff? I repeat will all 1st years please report to the cliffs."

Timeskip

As I was walking towards the cliff I met up with Angela who seemed a bit scared. But I calmed her down by telling her to try being on my team si i could help. As we got there we were told to stand on squares.

Then ozpin started another moving speech. "For years you have been trying to be warriors, today you're abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." Glynda then took over. "Now I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about teams," I looked over at Angela giving her a reassuring smile, "let us put those rumors to rest to your confusion. You will be given teammates today." I turned to look back at Glynda while ozpin took control again. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at beacon, so it is within your best interest to be paired with someone you work well with, that being said the first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the next 4 years." Everyone started to respond. Ozpin kept talking. "After you have been partnered up make your way to the northen end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way, do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die." I heard Jaune gulp. "You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing multiple relics. Choose one and return to the top of the cliff. You will guard that item as well as your standing and graded appropriately. Now any questions?"

Jaune raised his hand. "Uh sir I have a question."

"Good now take your position." Ozpin ignored jaune.

"Uh sir about this landing strategy thing uh what is it?"

"You will be falling." He said. I sighed and Angela next to me got launched.  I followed after.
